I said it.

Photographers and Videographers that are veterans and in this industry full time, - as their source of income - those are photographers and videographers. And no, they're not cheap. Their gear, insurance, experience, and time that goes into your precious wedding moments has a price. And high quality doesn't come with a cheap price. In fact, most of them don't earn what it's worth because mostly, our industry doesn't allow it.

The "looking for a photographer for a tiny fee" on the secondhand bride group posts are not for them. That's for hobbiests or beginners. And there will be a difference in the results too.

And the most trying thing in our industry, is that there are so many people that don't know the difference.

Dieter and I met for the first time at his front door, it was a weird spontaneous night, I did not even look my best - we spent the night speaking about stars and constellations - cliche I know, but that’s how we met - when I met him for the first time I had an instant feeling, a connection in the middle of my chest - kind of like the feeling where he was a familiar stranger and that we knew each other without knowing each other...

There was a lot of magic going around this past Saturday it seems... A sort of reaching between heaven and earth that touched down with great splendour just about when Daniel and Pauline said their vows. Amongst the thunder clouds and a double rainbow we crafted these images for them and yet once again Cradle Valley didn't disappoint - the day felt like a familiar nostalgic hello amonst old friends.
