Best flatbread / pizza dough EVER 🍕🌮🌶
Prep time : 15 to 20 min
Cooking Time : 20 min
You will need :
2 Packets of 10g Anchor Instant Yeast ( 20g in total )
375 ml Lukewarm water
7.5 ml salt
2 teaspoons of regular sugar
4.5 tablespoons Virgin olive oil+and a bit extra to line a bowl
570g Snowflake CAKE flour- do NOT use bread flour!!!!!
1 Tablespoon minced garlic 😋 more if you like
Now for the fun part🤪- my gym session for the day😉
* Combine all the dry ingredients and the garlic.NB it has to be big enough for your dough to double in size!!!!!!!!!!
* Add the olive oil and 3/4 of your water and stir like crazy. 🤣😂🤣Add the rest of the water , mix until it forms a elastic dough ball and pulls away from the sides.
NB- if you have a stand mixer with a dough utensil it makes this proses soooo much easier.
* In a large glass bowl - big enough for your dough to rise to double its size - pore in a little olive oil and cover the entire bowl.
* Transfer your dough to your oil covered bowl and make sure you rub the ball with some olive oil. Cover with clingwrap and leave in a nice warm area to double in size.
* While your dough is resting preheat your oven to 200C and make sure your oven rack is in the middle of the oven.
*Once your dough has doubled in size , gently press it down with your finger tips. Transfer to a lightly dusted flour surface and knead lightly.
* Make your desired form. the dough rises again so the bread does not need to be too thick.
*Place baking paper down and transfer your dough.
NOW - add any topping you like : Olive oil, Basil pesto, Parmesan cheese.....let you imagination go wild !!!!!!!!
* Bake in the oven for 15 min and start checking to not over cook.
when slightly brown take out and enjoy !!!!!!!!!!
NB - for pizza🍕 roll out into circles, prick the whole piece to stop it from rising,add some tomato base, your mozzarella and then your toppings. Same baking time .
You will never buy bread or pizza again.
