Black Weddings celebrates the African love story by providing rich content about different aspects of a wedding to wedding providers and couples. It began as a wedding blog on Facebook about 8-years-ago and has since made its mark in the wedding industry business. Shortly after its inception - in 2015 - Black Weddings started working with wedding providers advertising their services and products a
nd recommending them to various clients in different parts of South Africa. Over time, revenue increased for the businesses that we worked with and they’ve provided reviews on our page ( www.facebook.comblackweddingssa ). We essentially aim to assist couples planning their weddings in South Africa, Africa and abroad. We provide a virtual platform that connects couples planning their wedding to quality wedding providers. Black Weddings can also help couples with their wedding planning needs - be it - planning the wedding for them to execute or to plan and execute it for the couple to be. Black Weddings also hosts wedding related events such as (expos, networking sessions and business workshops. Vision (What we want to become):

About the Founder:
Ms. Siyanda Ngquba has 2 degrees in BSc (Hons) and a BSc (Mathematics & Statistics). She has worked as a Data Analyst for over a decade and this has afforded her to use her analytical skills within the wedding industry. Siyanda is also a mother of a boy & girl, a sister to two brothers & two half-sisters, an aunt of 3 boys & a niece. A true creative who lives to learn. Siyanda fell in love with the wedding industry when she started off as a Photographer while staying in Cape Town. She enjoyed educating the client about her work and sharing ideas on how to capture their beautiful day. “Seeing a client’s reaction after revealing how I captured their special day was everything.” Soon after, clients enquired her about other wedding services for their wedding. An opportunity as a beaded jewelry designer grew her photography business after her move to Johannesburg. A move in the right direction that ultimately grew her clientele. Her Black Weddings page was born and started taking shape - providing a space for couples and wedding service providers to meet, network, commerce and educate each other about the wedding industry in one space. Based in Centurion Pretoria - Siyanda takes pride in the business that’s 100% Black and female owned. “We are a team of 3 black female administrators of the social media accounts of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
