The ceremonial oasis at Hayward's Safari Sanctuary is filled to the brim, the small tilapia fish are breeding, kingfishers are fishing and the waterlilies are floating, as they do.

The bushveld is quite spectacular after these wonderful summer rains - a perfect time to visit!

This ensures a welcoming committee of giraffe, zebra, kudu, wharthog and impala at the very least...oh and yes, our butlers and warriors / askaris to ensure your warm welcome and safety!

This was one for the books and will be written into the annals of time.

A significant golden jubilee reunion celebrated in style. The Class of 74, Potchefstroom Boys High came from far & wide to attend this milestone event.

A luxury Hayward’s tented expedition styled camp built for the occasion by Peter & Celia and their dedicated crew, served as an exclusive venue for the weekend.

Camp fires and delectable food and of course the camaraderie so evident amongst all attendees ensured for a truly great reunion.

Very proud of us as a team at Hayward's Grand Safari Events & Expeditions!

We’ve just won our 14th consecutive year as Model of Admin Know-How business administration awardees. For the business administration system we use, there are 5 basic but major tools of administration by which your business is governed that qualifies you. We have applied this unwaveringly through thick and thin for 14 years.

This year so far has been dynamic, intensely productive, a create overload but also required a superhuman effort to pull some off our projects off we’ve had the privilege to participate in. Each project is always an opportunity to BE there, be counted, to communicate, to challenge our ability to organise and to deliver an extraordinary experience to those who entrusted us with their dream. This goes for each service provider, staff member, client and land owner alike.

Best said by a client on safari "Hayward's staff are all exceptional. Well trained and professional. They all seem to enjoy their work and make it as pleasant as possible!”

My favourite comment that sums up our main intention, is from a guest in response to the question "What impressed you the most about your Hayward's Safari?" this client answered "their love and generosity shared with people and earth" 🙌🏻🙏🏻

The "forgotten road" to Daniel's Kraal is an astounding 30km or so loop through the Red Stone Hills via the Kruis Rivier turnoff.

This route is an alternative drive to Calitzdorp from Oudtshoorn and is truly worth every inch traversed.

At every turn, another historic home is revealed, and another chapter of the Klein Karoo's forgotten stories begs to be read. The road is soft and gentle in places, then suddenly wild and unforgiving, but always passable.

This unfolding undoubtedly casts a magical spell on all who dare as they voyage towards the end destination and into the inviting arms of beautiful Daniel's Kraal.

Our all new Daniel's Kraal crest and logo has been designed to encapsulate over 188 years of pioneering farming lineage within the majestic Klein Karoo.

It's our intention to unlock the stories of the farming families that stayed here and made a living from this earth in this timeless valley and it's surrounding mountains.
