That moment, when you slip into your garter 🪽
Slipping into the Daisy 🤍
I remember the search for service providers leading up to my wedding day.
The hunt for pieces from different businesses which would come together to curate the look that I had been building in my mind and ultimately the desired emotion that I sought to do-ordinate. It’s been so wonderful playing a small role in that, and I have SO enjoyed seeing how your chosen garter has often reflected the style of your wedding.
Slipping into the Heath 🤍
This garter has lovingly been named, The Iris 🕊 It pays homage to my grandmother, Iris Herd, who owned the first bridal shop in Durban.
I grew up hearing stories of my mom, then a little girl, who would join her mom in waiting outside the church for any last minute bridal stitch-ups required before walking down the aisle. Tight dresses were the height of fashion...but so were limos which meant the bride would often encounter difficulty in exiting her entrance vehicle without developing a little tear in her tight dress. Iris was there to fix any untimely tears in her creations. I can picture the scene the so vividly and often wish I could have learnt from her brilliant handiwork.
Just slipping into the Eden ✨
