The new Event Venue is a compact mini-version of Origin, which includes only the middle floor of Origin, centred around the sparkling PolyBar at it’s centre, and used at smaller, more socially intimate or niche events, where the entire Origin building would be too large. The PolyBar itself is the newest addition to the Origin entertainment complex, and includes cutting edge visuals that aren’t see
n in any other venue in KZN, awesome special FX, pounding sound quality, plush premo seating, great social spaces, an open air balcony, and plenty of bars with drinks specials. EVENT PROMOTERS
The PolyBar is now being made available to 3rd party promoters and event organisers, to utilise the amazing space for their own midweek events, or smaller budget events. On these nights, the Origin rooftop dance floor, and the engine room will remain closed. THREE DANCE FLOORS
Depending on the promoter, many will also open the WoodBar as a 2nd dance floor, and some will open the PsyForest as a 3rd dance floor. Regardless whether it’s 1, 2, or 3 dance floors, it’s always called PolyBar, as it will always be centred around the PolyBar as a primary feature, central to the whole layout of the event. SATURDAY NIGHT AT POLYBAR
On Saturday nights the Polybar is always open, and so is the rest of Origin - the rooftop and engine room are also open each and every Saturday night. And whilst the music, vibe, and crowd in the polybar will vary greatly from one midweek event to the next depending upon the promoter, it will be playing the same music genres weekly on Origin Saturday nights - it’s the one place on Saturday nights where it’s a little more commercial and easy to access - Future House, Electro, Melbourne, Jacking, and closing with HipHop
BIRTHDAYS & PRIVATE EVENTS
The PolyBar provides a perfect venue for smaller, and more socially intimate events, that want technology and a mesmerising party environment. The space can be rented by private individuals looking for birthdays, 21st, engagement parties, or by corporate looking for office party environments with a bit more style and dazzle.
