@dbn48hourfilm trailer for our film, Isibopho Sethu (Our Bond), which was screened this past weekend at @suncoast.durban cinema. We are hoping that our film will be screened on television, which means that we won’t be able to post the film until we get the green light.
Thanks again to all our creative collaborators for joining in on the chaos!

@48hourfilmproject
Filming at sunrise never gets old. I always find it very inspiring - especially in such a beautiful space! However I was feeling very tender after a full week of being busy. So I was pleasantly surprised when reviewing the footage.
It was great meeting fellow videographers @lifeofyuvik and @thufaylali along with their group of creatives.
Thanks to Colton Campbell for the shutter SFX.
Disclaimer: I did not get anyone’s permission to be filmed, so if you see yourself and you don’t want to see yourself then just let me know and I will blur you out.
Sometimes my job gives me an excuse to behave like a child and catch lifts on trolleys.
This was one of my favourite shoots! I got to film some of The Heal Kitchen’s story. All the staff are so passionate and proud of their work and the impact that it has on those in need. The Heal Kitchen is a Manav Seva initiative. Keep up the amazing work guys!
Thank you @srishti_kiran for the direction and the epic behind the scenes footage.

@travgale and I had loads of fun shooting this promo video last week in Virginia Bush.

Well done to @olly_fraser and the fellow @universalbroadcastza team for putting this video together for the @wsl
You can spot my orange head in the water, capturing the action from under the athletes feet, towards the end of the clip. Wow, what fun!
(Dad joke warning) If these surfers boosted any higher, they would have to apply for a drone license.

Very stoked to have the @wsl as well as the talented @iangouveia share one of my clips on their social media.
If you look carefully you can spot my orange head in the water.
High five to you, Ian and all the best with the rest of the contest!
Thanks to Greg and the team from @universalbroadcastza for an amazing week of teamwork.
So what did you get up to on Saturday?
Here’s a behinds the scenes video that @dominique_doliveira got of me filming the Viking sprint race final.
Wow! What a rush! What a sport! I love filming action and this event is the epitome of action and athletes that are at the top of their game. So inspiring! Trying to keep up with these two was something else. It is for this reason that I am drawn to light weight compact gear as much as I can help it.
For those that are interested, I shot this on:
Sony A74 camera body
Viltrox 20mm f/2.8 lens
Nisi graduated ND filter
Rode Pro video mic
DJI RS 3 Mini gimbal
I am so grateful that technology has come as far as it has, because I would never have been able to have shot this event like this on my previous setup - especially considering that I had to film this all with my left hand due to the side of the rig I was on, which was based on the location of the sun. Between that factor and having to dodge potholes and a tree stump, I had to be wide awake for the whole event!

Adventure Obstacle Training aka A.O.T. are a group of athletes that focus on obstacle course racing (OCR) as a form of training which involves running from obstacle to obstacle and moving through each obstacle as swiftly as possible. It’s a great form of functional exercise that is done outdoors, which is just another benefit to the sport.
AOT will be hosting two race events tomorrow at Redwood College sports grounds, La Lucia. Check out @adventureobstacle page for more details. These events are great fun to watch, so bring your family. They will be kicking off from 7:30am.
The full version of this video will be live on YouTube soon.
We had lots of fun creating this video as you can probably tell. @chef_zacs_culinary_journal is a talented chef that has a passion for creating sensory eating experiences. Give him a follow to see what he gets up to.
The full version of this video will be posted on YouTube next week.
A handful of clips from a breathtaking hike to a waterfall in Hilton.
Thank you @coral_joy for sharing your beautiful part of the world with us. So many hidden gems!
I am so grateful that my girlfriend @kerry_leighcross is always keen for an adventure. I didn’t even plan this trip. I was just the tag along.
