Wedding dress trends as seen at The New York Bridal Fashion Week Fall 2025.
CORSETS
Can you say "snatched"? The New York Bridal Fashion Week 2025 was brimming with designs featuring corsetry with exposed boning. Collections also had more subtle takes on corsetry as many gowns include hidden boning, which offers brides the ability to adjust their figures without revealing the corset beneath.
BASQUE WAISTS
Defined with either a U- or V-shaped dip at the waistline, this style helps create that sculpted, nipped-in look thanks to the curve of the fabric.
EMBELLISHMENTS
Many of this season’s gowns incorporate plenty of crystals, pearls, and shimmering elements to bring sparkle to wedding day ensembles. Think shimmering fabrics, subtle metallics and beautiful beading.
SHEER ELEGANCE
The sheer look has been gaining momentum on the NYBFW runways. Perfect for the high-fashion bride looking for something with just a touch on the edgier side.
STATEMENT SLEEVES
Expect to see dramatic puff sleeves, romantic bell sleeves, and elegant bishop sleeves gracing the aisles. Removable sleeves are a popular bridal trend for 2025, allowing brides to change their look throughout the day.
BRIDAL SCARVES & CAPES
Bridal scarves may just be my favourite trend to emerge this year. The visual impact of a beautifully draped scarf adds feminine flair to any look. Perhaps you love the look of a veil but a traditional veil simply don’t line up with your vision or style, or the fussiness of having to affix it to your hair. A striking alternative is the bridal cape which also adds that final touch to your dress.
