Mechantia and Angelo got married on the 19th of November 2022 with the ceremony and reception taking place at the beautiful Ironwood Barn.
The venue was a hive of activity as the girls got ready in the beautiful brand new bridal suite and the guys made a grand entrance accompanied by the incredible sounds of superbikes from their local bike club. Thankfully, the rain that the day began with disappeared just before the ceremony and the sun began to peek out in time for the newlyweds to share their first kiss. The gloomy skies had made way for some beautiful golden light and we took full advantage of the picturesque surroundings to get some fun bridal party shots before moving into the tastefully decorated venue for the reception.
Mechantia and Angelo’s wedding was one filled with laughter, tears, great music, lots of dancing and an all-round great vibe that was a perfect display of the love these two share.

Dale + Kelly
Dale and Kelly got married on the 10th of September with both the ceremony and reception taking place at Heritage Kraal.
When Dale didn’t want to offend his other friends by choosing me as the best man, he decided on the next best thing and asked me to film their wedding. Kelly has always been one of my biggest fans so she was obviously on board with this brilliant plan.
Capturing a friend’s wedding is always special, even more so when you’ve known the groom and groomsmen for 20+ years. So needless to say, I was incredibly excited for their big day. A day that Dale’s family and friends thought would never arrive. A day that definitely didn’t disappoint. The time with the guys was hilarious, as expected, and Kelly was incredibly chilled while getting ready. Even when her beloved Jack Russel almost walked off a second story balcony.
The outdoor ceremony in the gardens at Heritage Kraal was full of emotions and excitement and rumour has it that Dale cried as he watched his beautiful bride walking down the aisle. The video evidence is inconclusive but what I can say is that I’ve never seen him happier. After the photo session, the formalities began and guests were treated to hilarious speeches, shooters for breaking the house rules, a duet between Haig and Jason and a sparkler lit first dance. The party that followed was the perfect end to what had been a perfect day, one that I felt honored to capture.

James + Brooke
James and Brooke got married at the magnificent Pumba Private Game Reserve and their wedding was definitely one of the highlights of the year!
James is orignally from East London but met Brooke overseas and they are currently living in New York. They decided to travel to South Africa to have their big day surrounded by the beauty of this exclusive reserve that gave them and their guests an authentic African safari experience.
It's not every day I get to drive around in a safari 4x4 while spotting some of the Big 5 and then film around the sun-kissed savannah before returning to a beautiful venue overlooking a lake and watering hole. I also don't usually get to drink rum and coke while filming the groom prep, so thanks for another first, James!
Planning a wedding from New York wasn't easy, but the way it eventually all came together couldn't have been more perfect. From the outdoor ceremony, to the decor, food and brilliant band, this was an event that will live long in the memories of the friends and family that attended.

David + Stephné
A wedding that was more like a music festival, I'm still finding glitter in strange places...
David and Stephné got married at the incredible Prana Lodge and pulled off a spectacular wedding that had it all. Friesland milkshakes on the beach, a beautiful forest setting for the ceremony, a spectacular dress, delicious food, numerous DJs, disco balls, feathers and a whole lot of glitter.
From the time I met this vibey, fun-loving couple, I knew that as important as the formalities were, the party and vibe were even more so and oh did their day deliver! As the sun set on a steaming hot day, the lights started flickering, the feathers came out, guests were bedazzled (yes, I used that word) at the glitter station and the evening was spent dancing to an eclectic mix of music ranging from funky golden oldies to the best deep house. They put on a show like I've never seen before at a wedding and one that I won't forget!

Ashika + Balu Day 1
The first part of Ashika and Balu's wedding weekend took place on a Friday evening at Hemingways Hotel.
The programme for the evening consisted of Mylanchi (beautification of the bride) and the Madhuram Veppu where both the groom and bride and their respective families gather to celebrate and kick-off the wedding festivities as a single family before two are joined to become one.
This evening was an incredible showcase of tradition, light, music and dancing and set the tone for the incredible day that was to follow.

It's good to be back! After taking some time to do some much needed rebranding I'm looking forward to sharing some of the incredible weddings I've been fortunate enough to capture recently. I've also recently got some new gear and finally made the official move to Sony so I'm feeling inspired and can't wait to start sharing again!

Tara + Kirk
Even with more postponements due to Covid and all the regulations, I've still been fortunate enough to capture some incredible weddings this year. Tara and Kirk's big day was definitely a highlight! There were so many beautiful moments that I have enough left over footage to make another 2 highlight videos so editing it all down into one that best captured this day was challenging to say the least.
After windy conditions forced a change in plans, the ceremony was moved from the kraanses in Morgans Bay down to the picnic area near the lagoon. The amazing golden light in the afternoon combined with the wind and Tara's long veil were a perfect match. The kraanses still made an appearance as an incredible backdrop to the couples shoot before we moved on to the nearby Heritage Kraal for the reception.
Getting to know Tara and Kirk was such a pleasure. From our first meeting at Cantina and hearing about their lockdown love story, to having the privilege of capturing their special day. Their love for one another, humility and kind and caring natures left a lasting impression on me and I wish them many years of happiness.
