Gill was a very hands-on bride and bought & arranged all of her own florals & handmade name cards with fudge treats for guests!

To my future Funky Brides and event party Customers,

After many years of reflection, stress, and planning - I have decided to make some changes in my business.

🦄A quote is a beast of another nature. I put a lot of effort into my quotes by creating mood boards, design concepts, floor layouts, a variety of stock to choose from and ensuring I cover grey areas so that there are no nasty surprises. Full transparency has always been in the fore front of my business when it comes to creating quotes or invoices.

I have spent many months creating quotes, researching, contacting suppliers and doing the admin while still running my business and attending to current brides. Then I get 👻ghosted or my whole quote is taken to another vendor so they can 😔undercut me. This feeling is awful and I wish it upon no-one. Having your creative work being sent around like a flyer, is what I assume a painter feels like when he sees his artwork in a pawn shop 😪
I am a small creative business that gives 150% every time, your stress is my stress, your tears are my tears, your joy is my joy.....this is our journey to an amazing day of laughter, love and fun!

As from 24 October 2024 things are changing a little.
- Upon a wedding inquiry I will send you my planning, co-ordination and labour structure fees as well as my pricelist. You should be able to create a rough budget from there and see if it suits you. Subhired items will not be included. Should you decide to dry hire and you are not sure what to hire there will be a creative fee to create a mood board and quote. If you are a bride and want to dry hire - the same will apply.

The different options:
1. Dry hire for events & weddings - I send you my product list, you send me an order, I pack it and drop it off, you setup and breakdown afterwards and we just collect. (Or you can collect and return)
2. Dry hire & creative planning for events only- there is a fee and I create a moodboard with a quote. We pack, send to you, you unpack and repack and we collect. We can also add setup and breakdown to this package at a fee.
3. This package mostly applies to weddings. Planning, co-ordination, labour fees,setup, and packup. Excluding all hired items, accommodation and travelling. This is our full package and I highly recommend it as 90% of dry hire turn into this package and it saves you money. I also offer a discount on goods hired from me if you take my planning package.

Unfortunately, we do not offer only on the day co-ordination or weddings where we just setup and go. Numerous times this has backfired as the couple didn't plan for all the 'behind the scenes issues' and expect me to handle it without compensation for my time, labour, knowledge or expertise.

I hope you understand that this comes from many years of experience, carrying heavy mental loads with strenous hours of extra work without compensation.
