Boules

How to play:
Player: 2 to 6 (6 players split into two teams)
In singles or doubles, each player uses 3 boules. In triples
2 boules only per player. However, for leisure play, 2 boules per player are satisfactory in any game.

Objective: Bowl as close as possible to the marker
Also known as the jack
A match is started by tossing a coin to decide who should begin the game and have the right to place the small ball,
the “jack”. The first player then traces on the ground a circle large enough to stand in (.35m – .50m diameter) and throws the “jack” forward, a distance between 6
and 10 meters.
The first player throws his first boule as close to the “jack” as possible; he must be careful to keep his feet inside the circle until the boule touches the ground.
As soon as the boule has stopped rolling, the first player of the opposing team throws his first boule from the same circle and must try to place his boule closer to the “jack” than his opponent.
When they have no more boules to play in this garden game, it is the turn of the other team to throw their boules. When all the boules have been played, the team who is nearest to the “jack” counts one point for each boule nearer the “jack” than his opponent’s nearest boule. Another round then commences in the same way; a player of the winning team traces a new circle, throws the “jack” and starts to play

The game of boule continues until one team has reached 13 points. When the “jack” has been thrown, no obstacle, even the smallest stone, may be removed between the circle and the “jack”.
A boule once played may not be moved. It may happen that two boules touch the “jack” or are at equal distance from it; then the players of each team play alternately
until the point is won by one of the two teams.

Giant Chess♟

How to Play:
Chess is a board game for two players. During the game the two opponents take turns to move one of their pieces
to a different square of the board.

The Pieces:
Pawns – move one square forwards. Have the option of moving one or two squares on their first move. Capture by moving one square diagonally forwards. Promoted to
another piece if they reach the far end of the board.
Knights – move in an L-shape – one square vertically and two squares horizontally, or one square horizontally and two squares vertically. Can jump over any pieces in its path.
Bishops – move any number of squares diagonally in a straight line.
May not jump over other pieces.
Rooks – move any number of squares vertically or horizontally in a straight line. May not jump over other pieces.
The Queen – moves any number of squares vertically, horizontally, or diagonally in a straight line. May not jump over other pieces.
The King – moves one square in any direction. May not move onto a square threatened by an enemy piece.

Check and Checkmate:
Check – if the king is threatened by an enemy piece, he is in ‘check’, and must escape from check. This can be done
by moving the king, capturing the checking piece, or blocking the checking piece (so long as it isn’t a knight).
Checkmate – if the king is in check and can’t get out of check, he is in checkmate and the game is lost.

How to Play
1. Team games consist of two teams of two people.
Partners shall stand at opposite co****le boxes on the same side facing each other.
2. Each co****le team shall have 4 bags of one colour and all 8 co****le bags begin at one end.
3. A coin flip will determine which team shall go first and from which side they will pitch.
4. The team who has honours will begin to play with one of the partners throwing a co****le bag at the opposite co****le board.
5. A co****le player may throw from anywhere behind the front of the co****le box, this is the games foul line.
6. Alternate throws between the two opponents until all 8 co****le bags have been thrown.
7. If a co****le bag hits the ground first, then bounces up onto the board, remove that bag for it does not count.
A simultaneous hit (board and ground) counts as a point if it stays on the board when it’s lifted from the ground.
8. After all 8 bags are throw, scoring is determined using Cancellation Format scoring. Team A has 1 bag in the hole
(3 points) and 2 bags on the board (2 points), Team B has
2 bags on the board (2 points). Team A is awarded 3 points and has honours to throw first in the next round.
9. The next round starts when the other co****le player on the team, which has honours, throws their first corn hole bag.
10. The co****le game continues until one team reaches or goes over 21.

Points and scoring:
2 Teams or 2 players:
3 points for a bag in the hole.
1 point for a bag on the board.
First team or player to 21 points, wins.

How to Play:
Space the game ladders about 15 feet apart and start tossing your bolas. Each player tosses all 3 bolas, then the next player tosses all 3 bolas. The first one to 21 without going over is the winner! The top rung is worth 3 points,
the middle is 2 and the bottom rung is 1 point.
