Jaco and Charlotte's Waterfall Wedding on a beautiful misty day in the magnificent Hogsback Mountains at Waterfall Cathedral & Barn. We got to be part of their beautiful love story and it was such a pleasure creating their dream wedding. They travelled from Gauteng and had family and friends fly in, from around South Africa, for their wedding weekend. What a joyful celebration of love. Charlotte put her own special touches by doing personalised napkins and table runners, which brought in a beautiful pop of colour. This accentuated the elegance of the crystal and glass decor with ivory roses and a gorgeous large floral wreath backdrop for the bridal couple. Leigh was sent photos of a cake that Charlotte wanted and absolutely nailed the brief with this beautiful creation - a carrot cake, with cream cheese icing in the centre and a marbled buttercream to match the decor. As often happens we spend so much time working with each couple, that we end up forging great friendships, and this is exactly what happened with this awesome couple. We're proud to call you our friends. We absolutely love what we do. 💚⛰️🌲

Some highlights from Estée and Bertus's winter wedding at St Patrick on the Hill Chapel- Hogsback and Waterfall Cathedral & Barn . There where so many special aspects to their dream wedding day, from the gorgeous wedding dress and veil that Estée wore, and Bertus looking dapper in his suit to the heartwarming exchange of vows. A hot chocolate bar with muffins were served after the service, at the Chapel, to keep guests warm. The reception was held at @waterfallcathedralandbarn, where delicious homemade soups, freshly baked breads and gluhwein were enjoyed by all on arrival at the venue. Complimented by a live band who played "when a man loves a women" for their first dance and some amazing jazz and blues throughout the evening for everyone to tap their feet to. This was a joyous celebration from start to finish and it was our honour to be part of this couples wedding journey. Menu design is such an integral part of any wedding. A harvest table on arrival for canapés and a Mediterranean inspired build a pita/wrap was a hit with the guests as they could help themselves throughout the evening and created an interactive dinner setting catered to all the guests including vegetarian and vegan options. It's been a busy off season preparing for our summer/autumn weddings. An elopement last weekend, a wedding lunch today and then two large full day weddings next month - then the winter weddings start. We're super excited about our new flooring that has just been laid.
