Monchique specializes in weddings, private dinner & lunch parties, small conferences, office parties, christenings, birthdays & whatever special event you wish to celebrate. Private and exclusive, Monchique is set in acres of lush gardens, bordering a river. The majestic surrounding mountains provide shelter from wind and afford an awesome backdrop. The barn itself, set behind a classic fountain,
has an inviting Mediterranean ambience. The barn flows onto a large, thatched verandah overlooking the gardens. The large gazebo bar surrounded by Cape cobbled paving overlooks a stream which flows all year. A quaint chapel set amongst tall trees is available for signing of registry. The venue is not licensed which affords clients the freedom to procure their own wines and refreshments. Corkage is not charged. Our attentive bar staff set up and serve whatever the hosts provide. Currently a service charge is not compulsory. Instead it is left to the discretion of the host to reward good service as they would normally do elsewhere. We can recommend tried & tested florists, photographers, marriage officers and musicians. If required we will co-ordinate your entire function, a service that suits our overseas & upcountry clients and those who just don’t have the time to spare.
