𝐉𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐲𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐚𝐢 – Jeffreysbaai gaan dié Desember behoorlik aan die praat wees met die aankoms van een van Suid-Afrika se mees geliefde aktrises – Sandra Prinsloo.

Die verhoog word voorberei, die ligte gedemp, en die asemrowende drama “Kamphoer – die verhaal van Susan Nell” is gereed om gehore mee te sleur op 16 Desember 2024 om 17:00 by die NG Kerk Kompleks Kampus in Jeffreysbaai.

Dié produksie, aangebied deur Jeffreysbaai Toerisme se Teater by die See, in samewerking met Theater Rocket, bring nie net ’n magdom emosies na die verhoog nie, maar dien ook as die amptelike bekendstelling van die Jeffreysbaai Kunstenaweek, wat van 21 tot 23 Maart 2025 plaasvind.

“Sandra Prinsloo se meesterlike vertolking van Susan Nell is ’n herinnering aan hoe teater kan genees, inspireer en ons diepste emosies aanraak,” sê Kouga Uitvoerende Burgemeester, Hattingh Bornman.

’𝐧 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐟
Met regie deur die internasionaal bekroonde Lara Foot, vertel die drama die roerende verhaal van Susan Nell, wat tydens die Anglo-Boereoorlog gruwels moes verduur, maar haarself weer opnuut gevind het as psigiatriese verpleegster. Die hoogtepunt kom wanneer sy tydens die Eerste Wêreldoorlog een van haar aanvallers weer ontmoet – ’n ontmoeting wat haar met haar pynlike verlede konfronteer.

Die produksie, geskoei op Francois Smit se topverkoperroman “Kamphoer”, het reeds verskeie toekennings ontvang, insluitend:
