Today I’m celebrating a family that is dear to my heart! Mama Val and her daughter Rose have been in my life for approximately 30 years. They have worked in my home and in my office space. This is my South African mother and my sister. Ma Val is retired, but she is still in my life. I have been to their homes in the townships where they live. I’m German born, but I’ve lived in South Africa most of my life—this is where I’m called to be—this is my home. We—the Sobekwa’s and myself, love Jesus, and through him, we know we are one, one body, made up of many tribes and cultures but one! I thank God for my country and the grace that is over her! I recently came back from a trip to Germany, and I noticed that there is a type of segregationist spirit growing not only there, but seems to be growing all over the world. We must continue to pray and work together for peace here and everywhere. Nkosi sikelel’ Afrika 🇿🇦🖤🤍💚❤️💛💙
