- One of Prime Cut Creatives’ upcoming & future partnerships is with visual artist, Buhle Hlithani who hails from De Aar & lives in the East Rand of Johannesburg. His art focuses on the eyes as windows to the soul & a heartwarming tribute to his aunt, a teacher, who wore glasses & raised him. His art also reflects pieces of his hometown, De Aar, which means “The Artery” in Afrikaans; a reference to its underground water supply.

As we step into a new month (and a new year for some), let's commit to cultivating mindfulness and setting intentions for growth, clarity, and positivity.

Here are some mindfulness practices to help you start the month on a high note:

1. _Morning meditation_: Begin each day with a 10-minute meditation session to clear your mind and set intentions.

Understanding the Power of Ujima: Building a Stronger Community Together

Kwanzaa, celebrated from December 26 to January 1, is a week-long holiday honoring African diasporic culture and heritage. It's a time for reflection, connection, and community building. At its core, Kwanzaa is guided by seven principles known as the Nguzo Saba.

One of these principles is Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility). Ujima emphasizes the importance of community and mutual support. It encourages individuals to work together to build and maintain their communities, and to take responsibility for one another's well-being.

At shared knowledge from African calendars & The Kemetic Knowledge Systems. By embracing Ujima, we can:

- Build stronger, more supportive communities
- Foster a sense of belonging and connection
- Empower each other to reach our full potential
- Create positive, lasting change

So let's come together to uplift and support one another! Let's practice Ujima in our daily lives by:
