DJ Hara (short for Charalambos) is the other half of the Upstairs movement & resident DJ. He brings with him an eye (and ear) for the cosmos, also an avant garde font-type & staircase collector who enjoys collecting music that extends across a few genre spectrums; maneuvering within the realms of ambient, down-tempo, trip hop, acid, house, minimal, electro, and techno. This all started in the late 2000’s under the moniker “Metro Ticket”, which gained popularity during the 2010 era. This Saturday he’s back to unfold yet another story

Mandy Alexander aka .poestes is a writer, DJ and online radio host. Her aim is to look at music as a function for healing through movement. Her use of house and techno music, unpacks the roots of these genres attributed by black musicians during the 1980’s. Through both mediums, Hypoestes engages in critical conversations surrounding marginalisation and inequalities within the electronic dance music scene, as well as the lived realities of people of colour in South Africa. These conversations extend to the dancefloor by use of dominant percussive elements which are found in many nguni and bantu cultures

Having just returned from a trip to Berlin with performances at renowned parties such as Whole Festival and Tresor, we’re looking forward to a fresh record bag and a poetic anarchy that evokes emotion and conscious thought

.ooz has spent most of his life discovering and collecting music across formats, with the aim to discover an auditory precision to unravell what makes people tick musically. This obession has led him on a journey of digging to master the art of DJ’ying.

His selection is imbued with a propulsive rhythm between house & techno not shying away from sweltering electro kick-snares, rolling djembes and compelling vocals enabling a mind voyage.

Catch him as the clock strikes midnight into the later hours of the party. Happy landing…

A Biodynamic farmer by day and musician by night. skill set includes music production, DJ’ing, co-writing and co-running a record label (Sabusa Records), a record label dedicated, in part, to pushing the boundaries of electronic music. This journey has taken him to notable venues around the world having worked with artists such as Vulane Mthembu, Sinethemba Twalo and Desire Marea. Most importantly, the beauty in all of this: His commitment to sustainable agriculture due to his passion for the environment which compliments his artistic endeavours, where he’s set to change the world for the better.

A performance based musician who connects sounds together, Louis In The Lab's focus is on the creative process rather than on obessing over the final product. Live, on the cuff and on the fly. Having never released an individual project, the idea is to share music within a dance-floor context and allow the intimacy of the experience to be communicated.

A young master in the making, we’re really looking forward to having him onboard. He will be cooking it up for us from 9PM sharp.
