Founded by Napo Masheane; she together with Debra Leshika, further developed it to what it is today. The mission of the company is to provide a space of self-identification, self-expression and to create a socially conscious kind of art. The vision is to establish an artnetworking program with similar organizations both nationally and internationally. During the last six years, we have worked with

Pleases to announce that as a South African based production company, Village Gossip Productions, which was founded by multi-award winning creative-producer, playwright, director, poet, and performer, Napo Masheane, we will be hosting the inaugural HerStory International Theatre Festival from 1st - 7th August, 2022, alongside other prominent partners. The festival which will be taking place over the course of 7 days will be a colourful and layered artistic program of theatre works and performances by Womxn - for Womxn - with Womxn creatives ... covering various issues and/or topics relating to artistic presentations, arts and culture, masterclasses as well as the role of theatre within the landscape of the 21st century.

In a country that is considered the capital city of Femicide in the world - it is so significant that we have men and young boys become part of the movement to eredicate GBV and stand in (true) solidarity with women!

The fight against patriarchy, an unequal society, violence and abuse against women as well as ending all injustices suffered by women, young girls and indeed members of the LGBTI community - it is a fight that needs ALL of US.

We may not be victorious yet but we are centainly armored to win if we do it will all of us.
