Dear all, due to unforeseen circumstances and personal reasons, A Quina Verde will be on hold until further notice. :( This means I will not be at the Pirates Club this weekend, unlike what I had planned last year. I do apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience. Thank you so much to those who have supported and believed me so far.

Dear all, thank you so much for your support since the beginning in late May, early June. It is time for me now to go to my homeland and enjoy a few weeks with my family. A Quina Verde will reopen again on Jan 13th with lots of new ideas and yummy flavours. I shall be at the Pirates Club market on Jan 26th with delicious Portuguese treats. Until then, I wish you all and your loved one a Very Happy Festive Season whether you celebrate or not. See you all in 2020! 🌱🇵🇹🌱

And just like that, all pastéis de nata are gone. Thank you all for your support. A Quina Verde will be back to the Pirates Club on January 26th 2020, after a well deserved break, with more Portuguese foodies and treats. :-)

Dear all, I regret to inform you that A Quina Verde will not be able to take part of the Ngwenya Vegan Hippie Connection Market this Sunday, Nov. 17th after all. This is due to the fact that the 94.7 Johannesburg race will close several roads precisely where I live from 4.30am until around 11am. :-( I will literally not be able to even leave home all Sunday morning. I really apologize for not being able to make it but this is beyond my control. However, I will definitely be at the Pirates Club again on Sunday Nov. 24th. So, I shall see you all there. :-)

Thank you very much to all those who supported my stall yesterday at the Portuguese Hall, Turffontein, for the National Roller Derby Festival. Happy I could feed all those who came for their tofucod bake and pastéis de nata. Many thanks to Kimberley Anne Murray for the invitation (Congratulations for winning the derby too! :-) ) and to Adelino Goncalves for having given up his free time to help me.

A huge thank you to all the amazing people who stopped by to get their pastel de nata and tofucod portion. This was another successful market and I wouldn't have done it without you. ❤ It's a great feeling to come back home without a single nata because it tells me people like them. A special thanks to Justin Schaefer, Laureen Bertin and Meg Holland who kindly lent me some materials to set up my stall. Now all is left to do is cleaning my kitchen that looks like a war zone. 🙈

I am very pleased and honoured to announce that A Quina Verde has been invited to cater for the vegans and vegetarians present at the National Roller Derby Festival 2019, hosted by Golden City Rollers, at the Portuguese Hall in Turffontein, Johannesburg South. :D

This is a full contact skating event which will oppose teams from Joburg, Cape Town and Durban with 6 exciting bouts and 1 Final.
