Last cake order for the year

Went to deliver this cake 's Ribs and Kota Corner in Naledi Soweto. Ended up placing and order of their ribs and chips. Very nice and well presented. Eish the chips too delicious!

Ok, I'm not a social person, in fact I'm usually exhausted having to be around people beyond an hour. I'm the behind the scene kinda person. I always find the most perfect excuse not to go to social gatherings. I'm a homebody.

So, I got invited to this family wedding, and got a little excited when I saw that it will be held at the garden venue hotel. This simply meant I could sneak out and explore the beauty of the place without having to have small talks and fake smiles the whole time thru.

Had to do the hair, the nails and eyes as well and the theme specific dress code, since this was a prestigious event. I told myself I'll be there for just 1hour then I'll leave. Got there 1pm left at 8:35pm, what a surprise, it was a long and blurry drive back home. Since my vision detoriates at night and the fake lashes made matters worse. But experience driving got me home safe😂

Iyoh! Just as I imagined, the beauty of that place was simply breath taking, I lost count of how many wows came out my mouth that day.

It was a perfect summer day, and the reception was held at the garden surrounded by tropical trees, water features and perfect grass carpet. Never thought banana trees could grow in Joburg... that was another wow, that got me straight to Google as I wanted to buy a tree and grow one one myself. I was suddenly flooded with thoughts of many recipes I could do using banana leaves and the fruit itself. My daydream moment was awakened by the beauty of the bride as she walked down the stairs thru the aisle.

Seriously, it was like a scene from a movie that's how perfect it was. What made it so genuine is that this was a 40th wedding anniversary so it was a real deal. These were a couple that wanted to renew their vows in style and indeed it was picture perfect.

Congrats Mr and Mrs Mntambo💐, your wedding was a fairytale. 💍
