Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

I have gotten in many a heated exchange with non-believers; how could that not possibly see things the way that I do? Unfortunately, the way that I handled these situations may have driven some non-believers even further away. Tact and wisdom are required, and humility is a virtue that a person with any beliefs can appreciate. Grace and wisdom are required in these exchanges...and everything tastes better with a little salt!

To reject the truths taught in God's Word, spoken by his prophets and apostles and by Jesus Christ his Son, is a grave offense. In the days when Hebrews was written, there were still true prophets in the Church, speaking from God. Today, we have his written Word as our "prophet." If a preacher preaches truly according to the Book, we are in a grave sin if we reject it.

Devotees of Christ, Paul urges us to teach all men about the life of Christ. Too many of us are selfish, willing to quietly believe and not get our hands dirty in attempts to make others believe. Paul got his hands dirty and ended up paying with his life. Do you think he regrets any of it now that he is sitting in heaven with God?

Through God, all things are possible, and all things may be made a new. Dwell not on the past, of what was or could have been, but rather look forward to what through God’s grace, may unfold within his divine plan. Being a Christian is constantly about a state of becoming, of a movement towards the Light of perfection shown to us by Christ. A part of this is to always remain open to Gods’ works and feats, emerging all around us. Gods will to create and recreate the world is his right as our Heavenly father, and it is not for us to mourn what may pass, but rather to seek to adapt our faith in becoming, or in what is yet to come.

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;Without notice, perhaps unaware, we may never know what our Lord may have in store for us. He may like Moses, call upon us at any moment to do his bidding, or to prove our devotion. We should therefore always be ready, as a hunter lies in wait. Many might sympathize with the feeling common in today’s society of either waiting for or expecting a phone call. That is, in essence, how our heart might be poised, waiting on and longing for the command of the Lord.
