Budding artists assisted Crystal Schaeffer to paint the striking banners. 16 children painted vibrant T-shirts with Kim Bolland and Nina Boiskin. Sue Stein sewed and fabric was donated by Andi Brand and Ronetta Saffrey. Denise Nieuwoudt responsible for social media liason. The T-shirts were donated by Lulu van Wyk and Jane Green gave the fabric paint. Matty Strydom. coordinated this exciting involvement of Buffelfontein Gallery in an important community cause.

Arriving at the gallery, the air buzzed with excitement. We were warmly greeted by the incredible team that brought it all together. Wandering through the space, our senses were dazzled—a vibrant feast of textures and colors! The artwork on display was breathtaking: sculptures, paintings, photography, candles, lighting—just to name a few.
As we stepped into the garden, guests were treated to delicious snacks and lively music. Matty delighted everyone with a heartfelt poetry reading featuring some of our most beloved poets. It was a event to remember!

Under a Karoo night sky we celebrated the creative spirit of Vanwyksdorp.
At the entrance we set the wheels in motion with the windmill displaying hues of pink and purple welcoming all to the FANTASMAGORIC Light Show and what a show it was!
A walkabout which captured the imagination of all. We are sharing some of it with you.

Our family had some amazing times travelling Europe. I would like to share some of it with you! For one, we had the wonderful privelege of visiting a mezmering gallery in Split, Croatia.
The Ivan Meštrović Gallery is set on a scenic site on Marjan Hill, with panoramic views of the sparkling sea, Split, and surrounding islands. It is a captivating museum dedicated to the life and works of Croatia’s most celebrated sculptor, Ivan Meštrović. A place art, history, and natural beauty seamlessly blend to tell the story of Croatia’s greatest sculptor.
Ivan Meštrović (1883–1962) was a sculptor, architect, and writer, and is considered one of the most important artists from Croatia. Meštrović was deeply patriotic, and many of his pieces are seen as reflections of Croatia’s cultural identity and struggles. He was the first artist of Slavic descent to exhibit at the prestigious Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Since 1952, the gallery has been a museum dedicated to Meštrović's life and work.
