The Inaugural All White Gospel Concert is loading!! We’ll be starting 2024 on the right note. Blending contemporary and traditional gospel melodies, the concert will feature Bucy Radebe, Ayanda Ntanzi, Pretty Mhlongo, Papa Ndu and Masibuyele kuJehova. It’s a show that is sure to uplift our spirits as we reflect on the past year while we start a new one!!!!!

Operated by Sdumo “TP” Mona in partnership with his brother (ChafZar co-founder Vusi Mona), ChafZar Foods promises to serve customers food and an eating experience they will always remember. TP is known for the best fish and chips in town. But he has a lot more to offer. Taste his home cooked meals and you will know!

The outlet operates as a front shop at ChafZar, from Monday to Friday, offering a comfortable sitting area with vibey nights on Fridays aptly called ChafZar Street Edition Nights. South African Weather Services (naletinye tangoma telitulu) is predicting high probabilities of rain in Kanyamazane this coming Saturday. Anything above 60% is almost a sure case it will rain. As a result, we have to postpone the Family Fun Day and Reopening of the Kiddies Park until further notice. Those who have bought tickets can claim a refund or keep them until a date has been confirmed.

ANNUAL BRAAI & FAMILY FUN DAY IS BACK!!!!!!

Join the festive mood as we reopen the ChafZar Kiddies Park during our Braai & Family Fun Day on the 16th December.

It’s family outing day. Lots of fun for the whole family on the day.

FOR KIDS

We are relaunching the Kiddies Park with new play equipment, a race track and safe play surface. Kids will enjoy a splash in the water, jumping castles, ice cream, hotdogs, pizza, candy floss, etc.

FOR PARENTS

Parents can enjoy a braai (meat sold at our newly opened butchery). We sell our meat at or below butchery prices. Fire and braai stands provided. Parents can also swim on the day. Lower pool area will be reserved for parents. Ice cream menu and cocktails menu will be available.

Participate in our cider and beer competitions and win isitoko se Christmas!!

FOR TEENS

It’s been long they have been waiting for us to reopen their two pools. On the day, they will enjoy the rocket parachute and their own separate braai area.

Warning: To avoid overcrowding, tickets to both the Kiddies Park and Teens Park will be limited. Look out for the opening of the sale of tickets and get your tickets early.

GOING BACK TO THE ORIGINAL VISION: WE LOVE OUR KIDS TOO MUCH!

From inception, ChafZar has always been committed to providing our township’s kids with recreational facilities. In a township that’s very hot but had no swimming pools, we built four swimming pools at our premises, with one dedicated to children, two to teenagers and one to adults.

We know how it is to grow up in a township starved of recreational facilities. Our vision to build a decent children’s park was interrupted when ChafZar suffered flood damages a few years ago. Well, we are reviving the vision and rebuilding our Kiddies Park. We plan to reopen it on the 16th December when we host our annual Family Fun Day. We will also be upgrading the teenagers’ section by putting up a games/play station lounge.

Who said ChafZar is only for the 2000s? They own the Sundays and a section of our otherwise vast campus. But kids and adults are also catered for. Adults, you will be next. Watch the space.

We want to apologise to our patrons for the power failure during the dying hours of our birthday celebration just after midnight. We had planned for load shedding and rented a big generator - over and above our own. The generator held earlier in the day during load shedding but couldn’t after midnight. For this we sincerely apologise. Power went off as Kabza was reaching his peak on the decks.

We are somewhat comforted that he had already played for some 40 minutes or so after Jaivane had had his full run. Thank you to our patrons for the support. You packed up the place. We will make up for this once we have secured our own big generator soonest. Again, thank you for the overwhelming support. It was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
