We had SUCH a jol at our "Rockford Indie Fest 7" at Railways Cafe a few weeks back. Such a cool lineup, and a great turnout of music-minded folks who just wanted to listen to good tunes and have a good time. Now that's what it's all about!

Thank you so much to the bands Crystal Park, The Juno Band , Die See and Bacchus Nel, you were all top-class! Thanks to the amazing team at Railways Cafe as always, you're the best, and thanks to Steve Grobler for all the help with the event itself

The "Rockford Indie Fest" was a series of concerts launched in JHB in 2009 when we simply wanted to put on our own lineups of our favourite bands and run the event in such a way, basically, that the bands actually got paid their fair share of the pie.

Six RIF events (even though there were actually 8 as was 3 shows!) started in Jan in 2009 and we went from Benoni to Boksburg to Edenvale to Pretoria to Fourways, enjoying successful events at legendary locations such as Cool Runnings Fourways, Tings an' Times, The Black Dahlia, Cool Runnings Benoni and Schivas Rock.

Meel Vignetting

Meel Vignetting is an artist from Pretoria Gauteng. She's dabbled in mixed media and created art from anything and everything since the age of 14. Earlier projects included sculptures from recycled material, pottery sculptures, and digital art, but Meel's most loved is collage. It's the endless search for the right pictures in the right size, finding the perfect fit to create a whole new picture, that thrills her most.

"Not only will Meel be performing for the second annual Galpalooza, but when I found out she did an art exhibition earlier this year in Pretoria I immediately reached out and asked if she would be keen on doing an art expo for Galpalooza 2024. I met Chantel a few years ago at STRAB and absolutely fell in love with the way she see's magic in souls, it's a beautiful gift and we can't wait to see her beautiful homage to female Trailblazers throughout history - inspired by the beautiful song called Trailblazers from Josie Field and Laurie Levine from their Tiger Lilly album" JO
