Psyshores Opening Ceremony with Petra Bongartz (Being of the Earth)

We start the weekend with an opening ceremony at sunset, led by Petra Bongartz (Being of the Earth), to consciously connect to ourselves, each other and the beautiful place that will be our setting for the weekend.

Together, let’s lift up the energy with our dancing bodies, open hearts and the power of our limitless imagination and creativity. Let’s celebrate the joy of being alive with music, movement and togetherness.

The ceremony will be a lightly guided journey through movement, supporting us to fully arrive in the here and now and call in the Spirit of the dance. It is an opportunity to connect to our personal and collective intention and offer our dance as a prayer on behalf of what matters to us!

After the guided beginning, we’ll follow the music into the magic that happens when we come together in the dance!

Petra Bongartz (Being of the Earth) is a Movement Medicine Teacher, Somatic Coach who guides people into reconnection with themselves, each other and life through movement, creative enquiry and embodiment practices. She has DJ’d for conscious dancers in South Africa, Europe and the US in a variety of settings, including sacred ceremonies and festivals. Her DJ sets have been described as "Tender, beautiful, intimate, expansive, joyous, numinous! Organic wild and grounding"
