Last weekends wedding for Tanya & Garyth ❤️

A wedding work in progress. We had a wedding scheduled for last Saturday and the forecast was rain. I woke up one night at 3am prior to the wedding and thought how much I didnt want the usual schlep of another stretch tent.. And then it hit me.. We have a shed in our garden!! And so we spent 2 whole days cleaning, scrubbing and decorating.. Thank you to
for the fun and inspiration.
The rain thankfully never came and we could focus fully on the outdoor garden setting. But hubby and I couldn't resist taking a few shots in our new potential chapel after all the guests had left.. Here we are in a partially finished wedding shed.. What do you think? 💜
Ps. When you can't find a hammer, use an axe 😅 and our great dane pup Harrison loves to photo bomb 🐾

Flashback no.2 ... 🐝 these little ladies sneaked into the frame box that we harvested from the hive. They decided to pop up as we were taking the combs out to spin out the honey. It’s really an incredible thing to witness how much work these little creatures put into making honey! These 2 were safely released back outdoors to return to their big family.. 🐝💚🍯.

Flashback to last weeks honey harvests.. this is one of the combs that we spun out and ready to go back into the hive. Out of the 9 frames in each super that sits above the hive, we always leave 2-3 full combs of honey for the bees. Keeps them strong and healthy 🐝🐝🍯.

Baboons were raiding our lemon tree all weekend, so we picked them all and I found gaps in between cooking for 24 people to squeeze in a few jars of lemon preserve. (I have another 15 odd bottles to fill!!)
