What a Rugby Match - Well done South Africa. All my visitors when you next need a sports etc. venue, please don't forget TAPAS &OYSTERS ON THESEN ISLAND. Siya and Cindy and the Tapas Team did a superb job on Saturday, serving delicious tapas and ice-cold 3-litre Windhoek draught. Both at excellent prices. Didnn't leave a drop for me !!! Francois Barnard and Scott Pearmain enjoyed a week staying at Margie's Place entering all the cycling competition and having a good trip round the Garden Route. etc. The Karoo to Coast run was particularly difficult this year due to weather conditions and there they are seen by the fire with red wine, and medals.Well done Guys, hope to see you next year..........................Mx

Johan Oliver, and his "troop" were for the 4th year in a row, were at Margie's Place for the 36th Knysna Oyster Cycle Race.All full of vim and vigour, the guys - Johan, Brett and Alex enjoyed their ride although the weather was not great.....Evenings were spent round the braai with Carel Bezuidenhoud (well known M.C.) entertaining in his usual humerous manner and daughters Mieke and Carel snuggled inside by the fire. Lovely weekend hope to see you again next year. Gary we missed you Mxx

Hendrik Van Niekerk and his family spent 6 days at Margie's enjoying all the beaches, markets and swimming pool. Margie explained to them she was having trouble putting her photographs from the new Huawei to the computer. So low and behold a coffee session was set up with the youngsters (they know everything Hennie explained) C.J. leading the control and Adriaan, Marli-anne, and Meckaily Van Niekerk all assisting. Margie was delighted to have the Dirk Engelbrecht's with their very special "Yorkie", the smallest dog Margie has ever hosted. So well behaved and adorable - needless to say Presley was in love and behaved !!!!!!! Mx

What a wonderful way to start 2019 with Pierre and Brigitte Van Dyk and family and Friend Kaharma. They swam did

The Honeymoon Suite (Blue Unit) will always be decorated beautifully for our couple - this week it was Mark Keith Adams and Crystal who had a wonderful week with us. The weather improved and they enjoyed the pool, Plettenberg Bay and fine eating everywhere.

Brothers, Warwick and Ryan Gibbs arrived from Jo'burg with their two dogs, Diego and Bagheera, and 100 90litre Hippo Rollers (as shown used to carry water). The Hippo Rollers were a donation to White Location from their father's company Hippo Roller Projects. Thank you, Thank you from Knysna for your very much appreciated and useful donation. Although only booked for 3 days, the brothers keen cyclists and fitness fanatics enjoyed the Simola trails with dogs fast on their wheels and stayed 6 days !!!Loving Seafood Platters from Freshline Fisheries and 34 Degrees South. Hurry back Guys - Knysna already misses you Mx

The Baines, Nick and Gale, on their 8th visit to Margie's -what a pleasure. Always delightful company, a braai with red wine, visits to Sedgefield market to stock up on those home-made "goodies" and lots of laughs - till next time.Apologies for quality of photos I think Nick was smoking us out or time for upgrade !!!! Lynn Katz together with daughters Farrah and Che left early in the morning from Margie's to do the Bloukrans Bungy. It had been on Lynn's Bucket List for years and needless to say they all bungied and loved the sheer thrill of it.Followed it up with a trip to Monkeyland and Birds of Eden -they sadly were too exhausted to pose for us.!! The beauty about staying at Margie's - it is only shortish drives away from the main attractions on the beautiful Garden Route. See you again soon Mx

Spring has sprung and Freshline Fisheries with its fresh, fresh fish has been decorating with beautiful arrangements of flowers and fauna. As you all know it is one of my favourite places and looks as fresh as the fish and of course there is now Rib and Rump if you are not in your "fish and seafood" mood. Enjoy - I always do Mx

Just after the Oyster Festival, the younger members of the family, namely Michael d'Offay with Adrienne Jean d'Offay and
"gang" arrived in Knysna for their favourite spoil, brunch at the Knysna Golf Club. It is so delicious and very reasonable and please remember that visitors are very welcome, you'll love it. I'll give you details! Mx

Brigette and Anton and their 3-year old Taylor, have just spent a week having fun at Margies. They were advised by their folks, Gale and Nick Baines.who are serious regulars, I think on their 7th visit this September!When Taylor wasn't watching Mr. Bean on TV (I just loved it ),she was playing on her favourite Thai Chair or in the glorious swimming pool which was freezing, much to Anton's dismay. You have no idea what it is like, when Happy Honeymooners -Sakkie and Alecia de Klerk , who only spent 2 nights at Margies and were stunned by the love and gifts... it makes your heart so warm. What fun they had visiting the Waterfront , tasting all the Oysters in Knysna. .Can't wait to see you both again and thanks for delightful message in Visitor's book.Have a happy life together, As Always Mx

This is what I really wanted for my Easter Egg Treat, and it is not an egg but the Jaguar Simola Hillclimb car sitting beautifully in the Knysna Mall !!. It really is spectacular so make sure you see it at the Mall or at the Hillclimb from 3rd to 6th May. See you there - come and stay....... Mx

The Dry Dock at the Knysna Waterfront, has recently expanded slightly allowing more open-air dining area and a little lift, not that it needed it!! Stunning different cuisine.
Well we were (Knysna Accom. Assoc. , K.A.A.) fed amazingly at a recent meeting with truly delicious beautifully presented snacks and sweetly ending with HOT CROSS BUNS.
The Best. Available at 34 Degrees Deli Bakery from 10.00 a.m. onwards,during Easter .You'll just love them. Thanks the Dry Dock Team

Seen relaxing at Margie's Place by the pool are Shanice Human and Herschel Agnew. These two young delightful people will soon be off on a new venture after having been on a month's course at the Knysna TEFL English School in Queen Street. Here the students are trained to become English teachers to teach English to foreigners and may travel to Chine, Dubai etc. We certainly wish both of you all the best as I know you have worked very Hard. Mxx

ALOHA!,- Anneli Nortje and daughter Dominique and Eric are not in Hawaii BUT in the very beautiful rising town of Knysna ,staying at Margie's Place and enjoying the "Fire Pool" and close by Braai, which looks straight at the Knysna Heads. Anneli et al just loves pets and Mr. P was there playing "ball" with them.! What a wonderful way to start the New Year with "Cool" guests.

- 18 - 22nd Dec, Gold Room, Sleeps 2-3 . R500 for 2 persons, plus R200 for 3rd person.

Knysna is rising and so is the black bunny "Harold", as he is fondly known as.Harold lives on the edges of the putting green and is feed on a daily basis by the kind staff -he certainly doesn't look starved !!! All guests to Knysna please remember you are always welcome at Knysna Golf Club (booking if poss) , meet Harold, and enjoy the golf, excellent food, ambience and service.

I am just surrounded by wonderful guests in Knysna...Relton and Yvette Isaacs had loads of fun in Knysna and by the pool at Margie's and will always be welcomed back with loving arms! Relton (Mr. Fix-It) just as he was leaving saw my bumper on my car was hanging on so downed luggage and proceeded to "right it" - what a gesture. Rob's old car is much wider than mine SO I keep giving it a Ding !!!!!!What can I say ... hope to see you soon....Thank you. Mx

Their second visit to Knysna and Sonya and Adrian Harris agreed their 3-day stay was still not long enough with all the activities that Knysna has to offer.They brought with them Sonya's Mom from Germany, Julie , sister Nora with her daughter Carla. Well dear friends I think the 3rd stay will have to
be a week !!! Thanks for all the help with Google, Adrian , who has his own business Mighty Web :) Mx

Due to an unfortunate cancellation the whole of Margie's Place is available for a group of 8-10 from December 20 to January 10.It consists of Main House (sleeps 3) , has everything, Lower Gold Unit (sleeps 3)and Blue Unit (sleeps 4). Each Unit has DSTV, wi-fi, bathroom ensuite,kitchenette, stunning views with pool and braai at the rear.Rate R2 300 per day, small breakage deposit, serviced 3 times a week.
