Wow! What a spectacular event! Today we had the honour of hosting Siemens year end function and we are blown away by the vibe and vibrancy of this event.

They had musicians such as Sun-El Musician and DJ Kent grace our ears!
Its days like today that reminds us just how much we love this industry. What a treat! Thank you Siemens for allowing us to host your event!

The festive season is sneaking up on us and I think we are looking forward to a little down time and some much deserved rest!

We would just like to inform you that Accolades Boutique Venue will be closed during the festive season.
We will be closing on the 23rd of December 2024 and open again on the 6th of January 2025.

Meet our Housekeeping team. Nothing is too big a job for these girls. You see these smiles? They are always present! They are master cleaners and have a turn around time on our rooms that could compete in competitions!

These ladies are like the mamma's of Accolades. They are loving, caring, and always complimenting everyone.

Linah has worked for the owners of Accolades long before the existence of Accolades. She has exceptional attention to detail and is a massive asset to the venue. She is kind, hard working and just a beautiful person.

Joyce, also know as Mamma Joyce is the queen of Shein orders and a beautiful mother. She is always positive and is a joy to be around.

Monica is a quiet soul and such a hard worker. She is the one the cleans the venues and the bathrooms. Accolades is a big place and she makes sure that every detail is spotless and clean.

What a wonderful team this is. We are grateful for all your hard work and love you girls!

Meet our kitchen team. Yobe, our Head Chef, Manuel our Second in Charge and their team. The group shot starting from the back left we have Manuel, Boyd, Yobe, Emmanuel, John, Joseph, Albert and at the bottom is Mayor.

This group of gentleman make an outstanding team. The one thing anyone can say about Accolades is that our food is something to write home about. What's one thing after every function or wedding people remember, and talk about? The food. As I was typing this somebody told me how great our food is, I mean that couldn't have worked out better and proven my point even better!

This is Pat. I don't technically think that Patrick needs an introduction, because Pat is front and centre at all times! Pat is our Floor Manager, but is so much more than that. There is nothing about Accolades that Pat does not know about. Pat has been with Accolades since the very beginning, and when I tell you that there is no harder working person, I genuinely mean it. Each and every successful wedding, conference, or function at Accolades Boutique Venue was driven by this man. He truly is one of a kind!

When I asked Pat to tell me about himself and about his love for Accolades, this is what he said:
Patrick is my name, at Accolades boutique venue where memories are made they call me Patricia or Pato, I love it 😄,a father of 4 beautiful girls 💗and married to a beautiful queen (Sue), love them to bits. This is Louise. Louise is our Conference Specialist, who also does function sales. If you have had a function or conference at Accolades before, chances are you have had the blessing of working with Louise. Louise is driven, passionate, and oh so professional. She is highly competitive, and this is evident in her sales stats! But more than her amazing talent in sales, she has amazing attention to detail and her skill in organising the events that she books, is outstanding.

When I asked Louise about herself and why she enjoys working at Accolades, this is what she said:
As the Conference Specialist at Accolades, I have found a place that truly resonates with my passion for both nature and people. Next up we have Diamond. Diamond is our Functions Sales Consultant who also work with Wedding Sales. Diamond is a multi talented individual and has been with Accolades since July. Diamond came into a newly formed position, which is not something easy to do, and has blown us all away by the consistency in his work ethic and passion for what he does.

When I asked Diamond about himself and why he enjoys working at Accolades this is what he said:
"I am a fun loving people's person with a bit of chakalaka mystery. I love working at Accolades because of it's warm family oriented culture and passionate team members. I'm inspired about the fact that it's a self made family owned business. A family business turned 4 star establishment that today stands out as a force to be reckoned with, in the events hospitality industry located in the heart of Midrand. I'm proud to be a part of this gem."

This is Alicia. Alicia is our Wedding Coordinator and top tier Weddings Consultant. Alicia is incredible at admin and is the sweetest soul you will ever meet. Alicia has been working in our sales department since June and has exceeded all our expectations by far, and they were high!

When I asked Alicia why she loves working at Accolades and to tell me a bit about herself, she said this:

Megan is not only really good at her job, but also loves what she does.
I asked Megan to tell us a bit about herself and why she enjoys working at Accolades and this is what she said:

What’s amazing about Grant is that when I once asked him if he could work anywhere in the world or do any job he wanted, he said he’d choose to be right here at Accolades. And the best part? I had no doubt he meant every word.

When I asked Grant to tell me about why he loves working at Accolades, Grants response was this:

Hi there, I am Keilah. I thought I would introduce myself.
I am the Sales and Marketing Manager at Accolades Boutique Venue. I am the one behind all the designs and posts you see online from Accolades for the last year, though I've been involved with Accolades since 2010.

I've been doing some thinking about what makes Accolades so great, and I've come to the conclusion that, sure, we have immaculate gardens and beautiful halls, but what makes Accolades amazing is our team, our family.

Accolades has some of the hardest working, kindest, and dedicated people I have ever had the privilege of knowing.
