Dassierock brings interesting and original musicians to the village of Montagu in the Klein Karoo, to

Since 2011 Dassierock has presented regular events at Rainbow Glen Guest Farm, Oude Kombuis Restaurant, The KWV Binnehof at Montagu Art Gallery, The Montagu Museum (located in the old Sendingkerk), and the Ashbury Gemeenskapssaal. Each concert in Montagu usually has at least one accompanying event in a neighbouring town, often at the Barrydale Karoo Hotel, or in Swellendam or Robertson, which hel

ps with covering the cost of bringing top musicians out from Cape Town for a refreshing weekend in the Karoo. Dassierock has also been involved in setting up workshops with visiting artists for the local youth and community projects, often in partnership with Concerts SA and the Rad Foundation.

Luna Paige show Sat 2 March in Montagu cancelled: After careful consideration, we decided to cancel this event. We are looking into possible alternative dates to host this concert in Montagu. A big thank you to Montagu Tourism who stepped up to host this show after it was cancelled in McGregor due to event clashes. We found that we ultimately had too little time to properly advertise this show. We would love to do this at a later stage and ensure that the artists, the Zolani Youth Choir and Cadle Craft can entertain a full house of happy residents. Keep your ears on the ground, and make sure you book your tickets when this show comes to town. Iluminar Productions.

After the 6-piece astrobilly snake funk extravaganza at the Karoo Art Hotel last night, Dax Butler's Unholy Trio has magically appeared on the bill at the Karoo Saloon's music weekend.

R50 for a day ticket... catch us at 6pm tonight doing Uncle Dax's slippery originals (the occasional Stockhausen - Trini Lopez Medley might also find it's way down De Tradouw)...
