PDAC has a proud history of producing provincial, national and international athletes, some of whom have represented South Africa at the Olympic Games. We are involved in the following Disciplines:

Þ Race Walking

Þ Time Trial Leagues

Þ Masters Association athletics. Athletes of all standar

ds – from beginners to provincial and national class athletes. We pride ourselves on having fun and enjoying the sport.

And that’s a wrap … last PDAC club night for 2024. A festive and super busy evening despite the inclement weather.

It started with Wendy, daughter of the late Charlie Steer, dropping off some memorabilia for the club house,

a small but dedicated few running the time trial in memory of Alen Hattingh and raising a few glasses of “Croc blood” (Westville Athletic Club),

a visit from Santa to drop off some presents for the little and some not-so-little children (thank you Santa and Santa’s uber for keeping his beard dry),

Mixed league awards (thanks Kelvin Borland),

Club competition awards (thanks Michelle Sims);

XC awards for two of our youngest members (thanks June Watson) and, finally …

Braai time!

Thank you to everyone who made this evening special and to all those who make our club special … keep on bringing the positive vibes … here’s to 2025!

Ahoy maties … what fun was had! 🏴‍☠️ Thanks to everyone who supported our Pirate Ship, those who organised, the breakfast buyers and makers and Captain Keenan for meticulously steering said ship which resulted in very few falling overboard 😄 Well done PDAC pirates!

PDAC Year End Awards Evening - Friday, 22 November 2024:

Once a year we choose to swop our smelly running kit for something a little more smart and this year was no different. We added a little “disco” to the theme and celebrated our athletes and their achievements.

To each and every PDAC’er who gave it their all in 2024, well done!

Last weekend, a record number of PDAC men decended on the Old Mushroom Farm in the Howick-Karkloof area for our annual men’s weekend away, armed with a healthy supply of healthy food and drinks.

Friday night we had an enjoyable braai with Ledge’s (Wayne Scott) world famous potato salad.

Saturday morning we did the the Piggly Wiggly Park run. Gareth Marquiss finished in 4th place but of course got fined for not making top 3.

A delicious breakfast followed at Piggly Coffee shop and we enjoyed some of the local brew from the area.

The rest of Saturday was spent chilling, dam swimming and we had to stock up on more health drinks … for some reason they were very popular on the Friday evening.

A delicious curry potjie was made by Sean Baldwin and Mark Olbers on Saturday evening and we enjoyed celebrating the Boks win. It was all a blur … Literally 😀

On Sunday a few guys ventured on a small trail run and a great breakfast was made. We then made our way home with the traditional stop overs on the way back.

Thanks to all the boys for a memorable weekend and for lots of fun and good laughs. A truly great bunch of guys we have!

What a great year our PDAC ladies had at the Ladies League Time Trials. Thank you all so much for your continued support & attendance.
Final results for PDAC for the year:
Super League: 2nd
Handicap League: 3rd
Walkers League: 2nd (by only 45 points)🎉
These are fantastic results & we can all be very proud.
Congratulations to the ladies that received their awesome Asics shirts for 100% attendance: 10/10!!👚
