I visited Boesmans Rivier yesterday, looking for the flamingoes. I found them but my lens was too short to get really nice shots. The day was not a complete loss though. Here are a couple that I took.

There is a two-hour drive that takes visitors on the Golden Mile, through some of SA’s finest dairy farms, on the spectacular cliffs overlooking Bird Island and the Alexandria dune field, which is the largest and least degraded coastal dune field in the southern hemisphere, with a surface area of about 15 800ha, stretching over 80km in length, with a width of up to 5km in places. The road turns into the state forest where century-old trees form a dense canopy over the road.
