Summerhill function venue is a rustic, beautifully converted old working farm situated in the middle of a gorgeous lush forest in the New Hanover KZN area. There is a converted large milking shed perfect for any function or as a wedding reception hall for smaller weddings from 80 guests to 100 guests. Whether it's a rustic vibe or a grand chic draped hall that you are looking for, this hall can be

transformed into your desired vision. We too have a smaller converted tractorshed, which is perfect for a smaller reception or can be used as a ceremony location. The shed has a crackling firepit adjacent to it, which is available for all our guests to utilize. Summerhill Function venue can accommodate 48 guests in total, making it a great wedding venue with onsite accommodation or for family gatherings and weekends away. There is a large self catering swiss cabin on stilts with 3 bedrooms and 1 smaller bunkbed room, 2 bathrooms and an open plan lounge and kitchen area. Great for a family getaway or a weekend with friends to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town life. There are 4 beautiful rustic converted stables, all with an en suite bathrooms, tea and coffee facilities and their own decks overlooking the gorgeous Blinkwater mountains. These units use a unique hot water system known as our "donkey" boiler, which is lit for all our guests convenience. We have 9 converted pigsties, which may not sound glamorous, but don't let the name deceive you, these 2 sleeper units are ideal for an overnight comfortable stay after a great party. Then there is our unique quaint converted grain silo. This is our "couples" unit. Ever wondered what its like to sleep inside a silo? This unit sleeps 2 and has an en suite bathroom, tea and coffee facilities and a quaint deck for 2 with an amazing view. Further to the above, we have 4 more identical rustic 2 sleeper units with ensuite bathrooms: "Mouses House" 1 & 2 tucked in the forest and "Hens Den" 1 & 2. Then there is our famous "Bee Hive". This unit sleeps 2 guests with opening double doors with a beautiful view. This unit has communal showers & toilets. Lastly we have our "Hideaway" unit. This unit is attached to our main house. Very secluded from the rest of the venue, this 2 sleeper with ensuite bathroom and walk in closet is a great unit to spend some chilled time together on the patio whilst listening to our chirpy budgies. We also have ample space for camping, should you require. Activities include walking, hiking, mountain biking, bird watching (this area is renowned for its variety of birdlife) and getting away to enjoy some quality time with your family and friends.
