From mother to son

Today seven years ago
As I looked you in the eye
I felt my heart grow and grow
Like the missing piece of my heart was found

You have no idea how much you mean to me
How long I yearned for this day to be
God answered my prayers and sent me you as the blessing
For this I thank Him every day
For as long as what we were apart
Not a day went by
For you were always in my heart

For how the years gone by
And the time certainly do fly
For what was once just a far-away thought in a dream
Seven years ago it was a dream come true

We’ve been through “7 sakke sout”
And it’s fair to say it wasn’t always easy
We had our ups and downs
But if I could go back
There’s no other I would walk this road with
Then you my blessing son

As I’ve seen you grow
And become the man you are today
My mother heart beats in overabundance of pride
I will always have your back my son

As the road we’ve walked
Formed the bond we have today
And what is God’s greatest gift and blessing

For our bond is like a circle
Our connection can never end
And if at times it breaks
In time it will always amend

When two things fit
Like the Earth and the Sun
They can only be Mother and Son
And together we belong
When without you
Everything in the world just feels wrong

For “7 sakke sout” we’ve been through
And may the next 7 be just as blessed and bliss
Through trials and tribulations we’ve come
Nothing can stand in our way to be Mother and Son

From Son to Mother

Mom you're a wonderful mother
So gentle yet so strong
In the 7 years I've known you
You always make me feel like I belong

You give me guidance when I'm foolish
And your patience knows no boundary
You're my pillow when I fall
And never to busy to answer my call

As you walked into my life
It became complete and rich
You were my teacher my friend and my mother
All in one and for better I couldn't have asked

Without you I would be lost
Wandering without any direction
I thank The Dear Lord for a mother like you

You give me everything I need
When you entered my life
I just had to follow your lead

You are a Jewel in my life
And like a diamond I would cherish and love you forever

You are my peace and my rock through the storm
For your love keeps me safe and warm

From you I learned forgiving
Of faults both big and small
I'm thankful for all you taught me
And I'm blessed to call you mother
