Receptionist Position Available
We are looking for a well-presented & organised individual with a passion for events industry to join our team at Grand Room Design, situated in Paarl.
Company Description/
Grand Room Design is a well-established event designing & decor rental company with an archive of successful events spanning over two decades.
The duties & responsibilities of this role will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
/ Serve as the first point of contact for clients, handling inquiries about services and rental products
/ Front desk management
/ Provide administrative assistance to the event team, including managing event-related paperwork, timelines, and checklists
/ Manage incoming calls from vendors and partners, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate event coordinators or departments
/ General office duties
Requirements:
/ 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role
/ Previous experience in the events, hospitality, or rental industry is highly beneficial but not mandatory
/ Professional phone etiquette, clear written communication and a welcoming demeanour
/ Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage time effectively, and stay organised in a fast-paced environment
/ Drivers license & own vehicle
/ Fluent in English & Afrikaans
