We are hiring!

We are looking for a live in work rider, duties and responsibilities will include; helping to back and ride young horses, produce young horses at shows, post workout care on competition horses and checking over other horses in the yard.

Requirements:
Minimum age is 18
Driver’s license (towing license preferred but not required)
Riding level: experienced, must have ridden up to about 1.10 and be comfortable on young horses

I am not a vegetarian but getting a little tired of people "preaching" about not eating meat because of the poor animals yet most of them drive cars with leather seats, wear leather shoes, belts and jackets. Let's not talk about equestrians with calf skin saddles and bridles etc.
Please if you want to push your beliefs on this down other people's throats make sure you are practicing what you preach.
In a lot of cases leather is not a by product of the meat industry especially when it comes to luxury leather items.

Having to think very carefully how I word this so as not to offend anymore.

The Durban Shongweni Club AGM is on the 29th October which is a week away.

Everyone should have received emails in this regard and although it's too late to accept a nomination to go onto the committee it's not too late to read the information and try your best to attend the AGM.

If you are not able to attend the AGM get hold of someone who you trust to vote on your behalf and who has the same vision for the club as you do.

The rumours that the club is "bankrupt" is not true and we all need do what we can to ensure it continues this way.

All voting members have been sent proxy forms or you can ask the Club office to send you one.

You also don't have to be a Shongweni Club member to have concerns as the way forward is to encourage more members and suggestions.

The AGM however is only for current voting members.

My
I often look at people's videos on Facebook. Most people put them out there because they proud and happy with what they have achieved.
It saddens me to see 100's of views and yet only 2 or 3 likes.
How hard is it to just hit like 👍
If their post is not offensive or hurting anybody why not like it.
You may just make someone's day.
To me it just shows how so many people can't bear to see others happy or succeeding.

Another school edutrip done and dusted...160 learners 11 teachers and taxi drivers left knowing more about animal care today and seen pets they did not know exsist...Our driveway looked like a taxi rank most of the day with11 taxis waiting for the learners to finnish edu trip. Joshua Clarke for doing some talks on animals.
