Story Time!!
This is not exactly a super crazy story but maybe this will give you guys an idea of how I go about with marketing trades etc too, because I have had some people ask me recently 🥳

So I don’t normally give freebies unless that person (influencer or not), paid in full for their first setup and I could clearly see I got some marketing from their posts. Then I would probably ask them if I could sponsor them an item or two for the next party. 🤩
I have done this for a few people and I honestly feel like this is my best marketing strategy. I love doing it and knowing that they had the decency to pay in full and STILL promoted me to their friends/fans just shows me their friendliness towards small businesses ❤️

Unfortunately there is an influencer that ended up on my naughty list 🫣 Shame and don’t get me wrong, she was still lovely to work with but my business ended up loosing money from her booking.
—
This person booked an item everything was good to go, my team was on their way when all of a sudden I got a message saying “Sorry something came up, I would like to cancel”.
This was only ONE HOUR before the party started.
At first I was happy to cancel because I know life happens and if you need to cancel a party that sudden it MUST be an emergency.
BUT only a few hours later I started seeing all the posts of a very VERY beautiful party and also an inflatable that looked just like mine (the one she originally booked).
So what ended up happening is someone else offered her a “freebie”, she then cancelled on me only one hour before the party.

So I ended up loosing out on a full booking because I could’ve rented my castle out to another party. My team was already there to work (had to pay them) and they were already on their way (petrol).
I did notify her of my cancellation policy and she did pay a % of the price but I still ended up loosing out in the end. 🥺
—
So unfortunately now she is on my mental naughty list and I have trust issues and will probably not be able to rent out an item to her again Im afraid.
What do you guys think? Would you have felt the same? 🤷‍♀️🫢

I mentioned my shipping container that’s coming in on my stories but my excitement is uncontrollable.
So I am pushing my Entrepreneurial boundaries this month - I decided to fill a whole container with inflatables to ship down from overseas.

Normally I just fly my goods in but this time I decided to take a leap of faith to save on costs and also because some of the items I’m getting in can’t be couriered via Air 🫣
—
I am SO nervous
BUT I cannot WAIT to show you guys what I have coming in.
They said it’s going to take a while (1month for manufacturing and then 40days for shipping), but I definitely don’t want to be excited all on my own!

So on Thursdays I’m going to post some “hints” on my stories of the 6 items I’m bringing in for my own rentals. It’s definitely going to be SUMMER party fun and if you’re planning a party for Oct, Nov and Dec keep your eye on this page 🙌
