Greenjeans Organics was just a name behind an idea, an idea that we could all make a difference through the choices we make. My wife and I decided that living with a more conscious approach to life was a necessity worth pursuing. The idea was simple, to grow, learn and share a lifestyle that encouraged sustainable agricultural values from the produce we grow to how we interact with our surrounding environment.
We began our self-sustaining journey in 2013, seeking to engage country living with open minds eager to learn. Like many before us we started from the ground up and with continuous support our business was created. Through trial and error and from one hardship to the next our passion endured as we grew closer to the land with each passing year. We discovered our true roots lay within the propagating, growing and sourcing of fruit trees. We found that not only could we be stewards of growing more trees for our environment, but food cultivation could be ensured simultaneously.
Hard work with dedication soon led to new beginnings in 2018 we moved to a larger location situated on the foothills of a mountainous, fynbos landscape where opportunity for expansion awaited. It was in 2019 that we took our first steps in rehabilitating a forgotten area of cultivated protea fields which lead us to the world of the cut flower trade.
Through faith, endless research and the determination to learn more about our unique, indigenous surroundings, we continued our sustainable practices in this specialised area of agriculture on a small scale where we currently supply the local market with blooming success to date. We provide uniquely made bunches, personalised according to season as well as cater for weddings and special occasions. Our range has also expanded to include dried flowers products.
During our expansion in 2018, we began sustainable beekeeping and by 2020 we needed no further convincing that producing quality, natural, raw honey tied in directly with our love for sustainable agriculture.
Our business continues to grow daily and our passionate dedication towards an ongoing stewardship with our natural surroundings will always remain our top priority.
