Contrast vs. Harmony 🤍

As a florist I am continuously learning the art of floristry and all that it entails through researching different design elements that make up the finished design you often see on our feed.

The current challenge (or rather, obsession) is to create a contrasting or harmonious (in this case, both) design.

This design creates contrast with the different textures (silky roses paired with frilly carnations) and harsh lines, yet the use of monochromatic colours create perfect harmony.

We love all types of flowers, but we are particularly in love with ranunculus because of the softness and fluffiness they create in a bouquet or an arrangement.

So, if you’re still deciding on your wedding date and you’re in love with them too (because we obviously choose a date when our favourite flowers are in season, right?) choose early Spring.

We loved creating this soft, elegant and fluffy bouquet for Lauren.
