This weekend we welcomed a sold-out Easter Sunday Family Fun Day – and it was too special for words!🐣✨

The excitement began with our treasure hunt-inspired Easter egg hunt, where families raced to find hidden clues. This fun and fair format had everyone involved and smiling from the start!🐰

With the little ones bouncing away on the jumping castle, parents then enjoyed welcome drinks before making their way to the restaurant. Our buffet-style lunch was a true highlight with a delicious spread that catered to every taste! Thank you to all who joined us, and to our fantastic team for making it so special! 🥹

Here, we celebrate Earth Day every day by integrating sustainable practices throughout our estate. From water conservation to energy efficiency, here’s how we’re taking care of our planet and how we plan to do even more!

💧 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴
- We recycle water through our on-site sewage plant to keep our gardens lush 🌿
- We bottle our own still and sparkling water
- Borehole water is used accross the property
- Daily monitoring of water usage ensures we're always improving

⚡ 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴
- All lighting across the estate has been switched to LED 💡
- We’ve upgraded to a more energy-efficient generator
- Newly renovated rooms and venues are fitted with energy-saving equipment
- Our solar plant is under construction — launching by the end of July! ☀️
- We monitor energy consumption daily to stay accountable

🌿 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
- We have our own dedicated recycling plant ♻️
- Two bokashis are actively composting food waste with two more on the way
- We use refillable bottles to reduce single-use plastics

- Foreign trees have been removed and replaced with indigenous species for a more eco-friendly and water-wise estate

This week we hosted a stunning function for one of our long-stay corporate bookings.🍂

Set on the Manor House lawns, the space was transformed into a truly enchanting setting. Their décor team, together with our dedicated setup crew, brought the vision to life with beautifully styled tables and elegant floral arrangements, beneath a canopy of string lights.🥂 We are so impressed with how it came together so beautifully.🍷

A new era of power begins!🔋💡

For years, our beloved generator, Gerda, stood by us through thick and thin. She hummed tirelessly, keeping the lights on, and powered through the darkest of nights. We realised though, that even the most loyal of workhorses deserve a well-earned retirement and so, with a mix of gratitude and excitement, we bid farewell to Gerda and welcome a brand-new powerhouse to the estate!👀

Of course, getting to this point wasn’t as simple as flipping a switch. Installing a new generator is no small feat, and it took a dedicated team of experts with months of planning to make it happen. From ensuring every connection was just right, to continuous testing, many hands worked behind the scenes to guarantee a smooth transition.👷🏻

We are now thrilled to announce that our new generator is officially up and running!🕺 This is an monumental milestone in an even bigger project, and we have a lot more planned to ensure uninterrupted sustainable power for our estate. For now, knowing that big things are coming, we celebrate this win!☀

The only question is… what should we name the new one? 😉 All suggestions welcome!⬇️
