It's with a very heavy heart that we say goodbye to Jacques Mouton who sadly passed away last night.

Jacques and his family have been this Championship's media team for the last 3 years and have dedicated so much of their personal time to catch our memories.

We send our most sincere condolences to Louise and the boys.

Today marks the beginning of something extraordinary as we head out on our first gravel hunting expedition for the highly anticipated 2025 Womza Gravel Rally, scheduled to take place from 1st to 3rd May 2025. This year’s rally promises to push boundaries , offering competitors a chance to conquer high speed technical terrain in the heart of nature.

We’re laying the foundation for what’s set to be a groundbreaking event, inspired by the overwhelming success of last year’s 2024 Panbult Rally—widely hailed as the best rally hosted in South Africa in the past decade. Situated in breathtaking pine forestry of Panbult, the 2024 rally delivered unmatched excitement with its fast-paced gravel routes, tight technical sections, and meticulously designed stages. The feedback from drivers, crews, and spectators was unanimous: the Panbult Rally set a new benchmark for rallying in South Africa, blending adrenaline-pumping action with a truly immersive outdoor experience.

Now, we are ready to build on that legacy, introducing even more diverse terrain, challenging stages, and opportunities for drivers to showcase their skill and courage. We start the gravel hunting today to scout the best routes, ensuring the 2025 edition lives up to—and surpasses—expectations.

Now imagine this....

Panbult 500 Rally and a first ever Panbult 500 Offroad event all happening on the same weekend.

As with our previous editions of Panbult 500 Rally this year promises to be nothing less than absolutely epic.

A couple of heavy hitters have joined the Championship and that in remarkable machinery too.

Will Johannes Potgieter the current Panbult King be able to hold on to the title in 2025? One thing is for sure he will have work hard for it this time around.

For those who have been to Panbult will confirm it's most definitely not a Rally you want to miss...these roads are prepared impeccably that offer flat out Rallying for the entire distance.

For those who have not been there, this is the one that you should treat yourself too and come and enjoy in your car.

Rally Entry will be limited to 30 crews to ensure we host a quality well timed and spaced event.

In addition to the super successful running of the Rally we are aiming to host the inaugural event of the WOMZA Offroad Championship too in Panbult should all our plans workout. This area will offer a breathtaking race for all Offroad competitions with racing in an between the plantations breaching out onto open plains that cross through shallow river crossings.
The Offroad event will be a stand alone event from the the Rally and the plan is to have 2 loops close on 90-100kms each that will be run on the Friday and Saturday with a total distance race distance close on 550kms.

Championship Notice:

Please be advised that Round 5 will now take place on Friday the 6th of December in Bronkhorstspruit.
We thank Gustav for making this opportunity possible for us in the time that farmers are the busiest.
Updated Supplementary Regulations will be posted shortly.

In other awesome news...I would personally wish to thank Hein Van Niekerk for availing himself and Panbult for the 2025 Championship.
Panbult, as you all know, is our pinnacle event that is enjoyed by everyone who has ever participated in it.

Hein/WRS will start promoting the event well in advance again as with this year's edition of it with a Pre-registration process.
2025 will also see some big cars competing and also very welcomed return to the likes of Wilro/Oom Dippies Dippenaar to the Championship.
Wilro in the R5 Ford Fiesta will be nothing less than awesome to watch again.
Come 2025, we will also have our first Cape Town driver participating that I am super excited about in a brand new rally car that might have the likes of Johannes Potgieter and Wilro wondering at times 🤩.
Rumors have it,we will have 2 of our very own VW Motorsport 4wd cars join in, too.
Hopefully, Theuns Joubert reads this post and starts wondering to the point that we see the Salom Racing Toyota Yaris in action too again.

Rob Sartain and Fred Hawman are working tirelessly to secure us sponsorship for 2025.
Should this become a reality, we will have R100,000 prize money come the year-end function 🤞🏻🙏🏻.

Prospects for 2025 look very promising.

Call out to all petrol heads to join us for the 2024 All Tar Rally that will be held at the Gerotek Testing Facility.

If you have a roll cage fitted the mother of all asphalt stages in this country awaits you...namely the infamous Mountain Stage that tests man and machine to the absolute max.
The 2022 edition of this event saw Pierre Bester / Devon Mellet in their Mercedes Benz A45 AMG be crowned the "King of the Hill".
Have you got what it takes to be quick up there...Come show us on the 23rd of November.

The event will feature a Tarmac Time Attack for all road going cars too that do not have roll cages fitted to them. The Dynamic Handling circuit is vert fast and demanding when driven in anger...bring what you've got and come and enjoy this Rally style event with us.

Space will be limited so get your entries in early to avoid dissapointment.
