We are situated in Rietvlei View Country Estate Pretoria and have the most beautiful ranges of decor to hire for any function.

We pride ourselves in the unique items we offer, some handmade and others sourced with the utmost care and consideration of latest trends.

Decor can be collected on the business day before your event and returned the business day after your event. We do, however, understand that sometimes you need a bit more time to style your perfect event. That's why we don't charge extra for longer hire times - simply make an arrangement with us and we'll accommodate you if we can.

🩷 Anyone in this industry will tell you that you simply can't be a success without your DREAM TEAM - your family - your biggest supporters 🩷

And because they don't get nearly enough airtime on this page, I introduce my dream team.

Jacques - the foundation on which I built everything that Belle Doux is today. Ever seen the reels of husbands building bespoke decor, carrying decor boxes and even doing flowers? Sure it's funny, but it's also the truth. Husbands in this industry always have to jump in and help, all in the name of love. They support our dreams even when they don't share the dream. As the years went on, we have become a solid team and you will likely see his face often wherever we have an event. He's chatty and friendly and helpful, my rock, the one without whom I would never have had the time to have this great job and three beautiful kids.

Mieke - watch out cause you'll soon see her styling candles and fluffing flowers at our events. The responsible one in the family with a beautiful heart. Already curious about the business and all the wonderful clients we have and such an eye for beautiful things.

Ameri - the ferocious middle child with not a care in the world. Whether she'll take a keen interest in styling beautiful events, is to be seen. But I am so thankful that she allows me to do this by happily staying home with her dad and siblings and always greeting me with joy when I get home after way too many steps and heavy lifting.

Rainer - the latest edition to the family. Keep an eye out for an update on this one as soon as he is a tiny bit older.

Of course there are so many more that ultimately make the dream team. Hannah, who have grown so much with us and have developed a keen eye for detail and perfection when styling with us.

My mom who is always happy and eager to help out, whether to avert a crisis, or baby sitting, or sewing some or other linen. Without this type of support, we would not have been the success we are today.

The guys in our storeroom who helps with packing, repacking (repacking again), cleaning and running our decor store room smoothly.

Finally, all the co-suppliers who work with us, help out, support and share!

🤍 CONFESSION TIME 🤍

Those who know me, know that I am a perfectionist in many things I do. In my business that means having files and folders and lists for everything. It means getting every single detail right. It means getting anxious about getting every single detail right.

But between all my files and folders and lists and emails and texts. And between being a mom of three young kids and managing a household, I DROPPED THE BALL! I wondered many times whether this is something I should confess to because who wants to do business with someone who is unorganized and who GOT IT WRONG?

But I'm sharing this for other reasons. Every single business owner, events planner, working mom will tell you that they have, at some stage, dropped the ball or gotten it wrong. Of course we don't want to admit to this, but we are only human and we do have limitations. The importance of this post is not to raise sympathy from others who have gotten it so terribly wrong, but rather to share how one of my worst experiences also turned into one of my best experiences because of KINDNESS.

When I phoned the client to confess, I expected anger, fury, disappointment - I know if it were me I would've ranted on and given the person an earful! But that's not what I got. From all the ladies who were planning the event and who booked the order, I received absolute patience and kindness and quiet smiles. This was not because they did not feel anger or frustration towards me, I'm sure they felt these things like any human. But they didn't show it, and more importantly they accepted my human flaws and made the best of the situation. They treated me with respect and kindness - after all, we are all human and we all make mistakes, get it wrong, drop the ball.

This was a profound moment for me. It taught me more than any other time in my life, the impact kindness has on another person. On my way home I felt like crying, I was so disappointed in myself. But after mulling it over for hours in my head, I realized that this was a teaching moment for me. And I'm thankful that my clients allowed me to also only be human!

Through the years in this industry I made so many friends. People who listen to your complaints, are always willing to go out of their way to help, and who understand how important it is that we support each other rather than compete against each other.

Natasja Jackson from My Party Box SA is one of those friends, shoulders, supporters. Always happy to do more than what is expected.

I highly recommend her for parties and events. She has great creativity and such a can do attitude. This event at Blos Cafe shows only a fraction of what she can do. How absolutely gorgeous!
