Losing my job in March 2011 was the best thing that ever happened to me. For years, friends and family had been telling me to do what I was good at - creating memorable parties and organising! My best friend, Audra was the one who came up with my name - “Tammy Nelson Themed Events - Let’s Have A Blast” (TNT Events). She even came up with the idea for my logo! A dark haired girl holding a bomb surrounded by fireworks!
7 years later, I’m literally living my dream. Something most people can never say. “Build it they will come” -- adaptation from 1989 movie, Field of Dreams. There is no truer statement for me. I’ve been blessed that the majority of my work is all referrals from happy clients or people who met me, and got to know me, in the corporate world.
Every function, and every theme, no matter how many times I do it, is never the same and has something new to learn.
I’ve never worked so hard in my life, but the hours and seeing my clients happy, make having your own business, doing what you love, all worthwhile!
