This is me, signing off for 2021 🙌🏻 I dont think I have to tell anyone the challenges we all faced this year but here is to coming out the other side 🥂 Maybe not 100% OK, but definitely 150% with a grateful heart. Grateful for the brides I did get to serve. Grateful for the friendships who held my head up high when things felt a little too much. And most grateful for the Mighty Hands who kept me and my loved ones safe and together. Sending each and everyone a big virtual hug, a really Merry Christmas and one AMAZEBALLS New Year! A Quite Magic - Wow! This shoot is my favourite one EVER. Partly because I have wanted to use sequins in the Karoo for some time but mostly because this place is PERSONAL. I love this place and and every image brings back so many memories for me. Weekends and holidays spent with the very people who showed me what life is all about - family, love, laughter and Klipwerf Boere Orkes :p. This is the place where I arrive creatively tapped out and leave rejuvenated, inspired, happy. I loved planning this shoot together with an amazing team. People who get how special this shoot was for me and how in many ways, this is the place where Kadou’s journey began. Now for the Oscar speech: Thank you to… Debbie Lourens for your wonderful talent and capturing this landscape so beautifully, for always going the extra mile to get that perfect shot! Chantel de Bruyn from CDB Chantel de Bruyn Design Create Inspire , for not only creating this beautiful dress but also for being our crazy beautiful model. Susan Brand Design for your gorgeous stationary, each and every detail complemented all the other elements of this shoot perfectly. Susan also created our beautiful “karoo-bossie” logo from a inspiration photo I took on this very farm two years ago. Nicolette from La Petite Patisserie for your beautifully minimalist silver cake. Clarita Smit Hair, Make-up and Lash extensions for always being willing and producing excellence in an environment where we don’t even have electricity! A big thank you also to my awesome family for always allowing me to take over the farm to do what I love AND a big thank you to the real hero’s behind the scene - our husbands.
