A previous nominee in the 2023 Forty Under 40, Ernest is determined to further solidify his position as a writer, publisher, and film distributor. His achievements include setting up his own film production and script development projects, which have allowed him to navigate and overcome industry challenges. Ernest's drive to break through barriers is evident in his relentless pursuit of success in the publishing and film industry.

As a multimedia freelancer with Phoenix Rens Comms (2022-2024), Ernest has published over nine books, developed branded merchandise, and established himself as a speaker and guest on community radio stations and podcasts.

He co-hosts a radio talk show with Bujy Bikwa, where he uses his platform to inspire and educate. Additionally, Ernest is passionate about mentoring new authors, helping them navigate the complexities of the publishing world.

His work extends beyond the creative realm; as an M&E Officer and Brand Manager for a non-profit organization since 2021, Ernest has actively contributed to various NGOs such as TBHIV Care, HSRC, Anova Health for Men, and LIFE.

His focus has been on providing crucial IEC materials for the prevention and protection against HIV, STIs, stigma, and discrimination, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community. Ernest's innovative "Pink Carpet" system, implemented in Eastern Cape public health facilities, has been instrumental in ensuring that LGBTQ+ individuals receive care without feeling alienated.
