Thuli The DJ Thuli Siphosethu Nkosi, who is better known as “ Thuli The DJ” is a 26 year old female who is very hard working and passionate about music.

She derives from a very close and small family, and was raised in Tembisa. Many people in the music industry often say that music has always been a part of their lives, though that hasn’t been the case for Thuli. She found music as an escape to something that would make her feel better and give her a peace of mind when in her cloudy days. As a result, she grew to loving music as it spoke to her so

ul and surprisingly enough she was granted the opportunity to share this passion with people around her. Just like that her career as a dj was birthed. Thuli is so conceited that this has grown so much to a point that she has been awarded the opportunity to become a resident DJ at one of Tembisa’s hottest joints by far which is Slotjhile Pub and Shisanyama. Thuli plays there every weekend (Fri-Monday) during different time-slots and has managed to do so successfully for the past 2 years without fail. Thuli has shared a stage with some of the biggest artists in South Africa such as Sjava, Zahara, Sello Galane, Amanda Black, Kwesta, Vusi Nova and Ringo just to mention a few. This has proven how much passion and love she has for what she does and how fond the crowds are of her considering the positive responses and feedback she gets everytime she is on stage. Thuli is a versatile artist and she loves South African music so much that she is very passionate about it. She specializes in Afro Pop, Afro Soul, African Jazz, Hip Hop and Kwaito but not limited to them. She is also open to other genres of music. Before she is a DJ, Thuli is an artist, she believes so much in connecting with her audience and always makes sure that she reaches out to what her audience prefers to hear.
