The Guinevere Guest Farm private self-catering guest house is only a 1.5 hours’ drive from Cape Town and is the ultimate private farm house getaway in the charming Cape Winelands region! The entire farm house must be rented on a self-catering basis for any private group occasion or event. The guest house can sleep up to 32 people in 9 individually styled and comfortable en suite bedrooms All of the spacious luxury bedrooms have an en-suite master bathroom, private balcony with table and chairs. Downstairs facilities include a large well-equipped kitchen for group catering with multiple prep areas, a cosy lounge with a fireplace and TV, a large dining hall with seating and tables for 32 people, another large fireplace and lounge, a courtyard with swinging daybeds, his/her toilets and a self-contained courtyard room with fireplace, bathroom and kitchenette. There is also a 60sqm yoga studio with natural bamboo floors taking advantage of the beautiful mountain views. Upstairs facilities include an entertainment lounge with bar, pool table, flatscreen TV with DSTV, outdoor swimming pool with day loungers and a braai. All of the spacious luxury en-suite bedrooms are located on the 2nd level and are furnished with antique furniture, comfortable bedding, desk and a TV with DVD player. The guest house and farm is also available for weddings, bridal groups, workshops, wellness retreats and any other type of private event. Additional rates apply, please enquire about these. Our newest update to the guest house. We finally got around to renovating these two bathrooms. It’s been in the pipeline for a while but finding the time between bookings is challenging. We are very pleased with how they came out. What do you think?
Our next big project will be the kitchen, but we are still in the planning stages for that. It will only commence in 2025. But it’s going to be *amazing *
As busy season approaches we will be renovating a few small areas of the guest house. And we’ll continue to share the process here. We love before and after photos! Reimagining the space is so fun!!! Who else likes to express their creativity in their home?

We are really vibing vintage tapestries, although if we get anymore it’s going to be overkill. So We will stop now.
Woven baskets with cacti is also very much a thing for us right now. There will always be space for more plants in and around the house.

Learn about Guinevere’s magic over the past 10 years:

~We opened our doors at the end of 2012 as an 8 bedroom Bed & Breakfast.
We would serve our guests breakfast in the large dining hall & host events and private dinners.
We gained popularity with our delicious food, friendly staff and homely atmosphere.

~We also had a productive boutique winery, which sadly is not as operational due to the baboons eating all our grapes off the vine. We used to offer free wine tastings & complimentary wine on arrival, such fun!!!

~We had 20 guernsey cows and 1 jersey cow, & had a small milk, yogurt and cheese production going. Guests could hand milk the cows at 5am with us. And we served freshly made cheese at breakfast and raw jersey milk for the cappuccinos 😋

~We had so many requests to book the whole house out for birthdays & gatherings in 2014 that we decided to turn into a self catering home instead of BnB

~The farm was now an exclusive private venue, only booked to one group at a time.
This has proved to be a successful move and although the owner does miss cooking for her guests, we have been able to create a special space for guests to enjoy their wedding, retreat, birthday or family time.

~ In 2017 we were hoping to become a full time retreat Centre with the addition of the yoga studio and ideas for retreats were flowing. But with the uncertainty of retreat bookings by third party hosts it just wasn’t viable, so instead we opened the space up to any event and soon realised that small intimate weddings worked best.

~ Small corporate midweek stays have been gaining popularity too over the past year and we accompany love these groups!

~As of 2022 Wedding Weekends have become our primary focus and we absolutely love to see our guests shine on their special day.

We are excited for balmy Summer days so we can have fun setting up the courtyard for dreamy weddings again 🥂
We love the simplicity of low tables & cushions creating a relaxed, intimate affair with up to 50 guests. Our love for dusty pink & natural rattan furniture remains. We have quite a few weddings coming up so there will be pics to follow.
