FLOWERS @ THE CRESCENT is no ordinary florist – it is a florist that is positively bursting with creativity and spontaneity. Thinking outside of the vase, the flower arrangements are different, elaborate and sophisticated works of art. But it is the unique accessories and lifelike Artificial Flowers that set’s this florist apart from others. Flowers @ the Crescent has carved out a niche market for the florist and have produced intricate arrangements for this Christmas, bedazzled with jewels, glitter and bold colours of silver, gold, red and green are delicately painted silver leaves and orchids sprinkled with glitter make their displays unique.
Tucked away in the Crescent Shopping Centre (behind Gateway), this florist is owned and run by Umhlanga business women, Lindy Pohl. Lindy has been in the Corporate Flower Rental business for a few years now and supplies a National Retail Chain with Artificial flowers and Indoor plants. During this period she met up with Pat who enticed her into buying the Florist, a lifelong dream of Lindy, and together they have transformed Flowers @ the Crescent into a modern-day florist that not only deals in Fresh flowers but artificial flowers too. Lindy’s motto is that the “Customer is everything” and with her passion, creativeness and on hands dedication together with her creative team headed up by Pat who has been a florist for over 35 years and assisted by Happy are able to produce flower arrangements that can be tailor-made to each and every client’s specifications. Their specialties being able to customise floral décor for birthdays, weddings, funerals, homes, functions and the attention to detail has been an important factor in the success of this florist and the delivery is available to clients in Umhlanga, La Lucia, Durban North, Durban, Westville, Ballito & surrounds, with the help of their very reliable driver Vusi who is a very important part of the team. The team is assisted by Anita who is at the front desk and on the weekends Irene and Margo help out and they ensure that all the customers are well attended to and their needs are met.
Since taking over the florist on the 1st November 2015 Lindy has expanded the product to not only include fresh flowers but artificial flowers too and artificial indoor plants. In the fast-paced lifestyle of today, getting fresh flowers each week is a true luxury. Beautiful Artificial flowers are cost effective and are virtually maintenance free plus they provide the vibrancy and colour that pulls any room together and the beauty of this is that one is able to bring in your own vase and the team will make an arrangement up to your request, and as a florist our inspiration is often drawn from nature and we love to celebrate colour, form and seasonality and create designs that allow already beautiful products to simply sing.. and Flowers @ the Crescent bring you that and “Sunshine and Blossom every day…..
