Kaliente’ is the adaption of the Spanish word ‘Caliente,’ which translated is hot, spicy, heated and in turn I see this as my fiery passion for events and weddings. I saw a need for a more down to earth approach to event and wedding planning. 1st dance & design. Our Story

Who is Kaliente? To answer that question, I need to tell you a little about who I am, who is Charis Mc Keever? The Spanish meaning of Caliente' is 'fiery', as is my passion for seeing couples getting the best out of their wedding planning experience and suppliers. I am a graphic designer and been designing practical solutions to creative ideas for over 20 years. My main focus has been in the wedding industry for the last 11 to 12 years. I help brides translate their thoughts and inspirations into their wedding stationery. As an experienced wedding stationery designer, I have been part of enough weddings to know what works and doesn't work and can offer valuable inside knowledge into the industry. This has led to my true passion, teaching and inspiring new design entrepreneurs. I have lectured for many years and hosted numerous design courses and workshops for the last 7 years with institutions like the SA School of Weddings, Short Cut Craft and a series of my own in-studio sessions. I run workshops to help guide and teach new entrepreneurs to build their own businesses. My favourite moment is when that light comes on in a student's eyes and they beam with delight. I don't see wedding stationery as just pieces of paper but a journey across many mediums to express your look and feel for your wedding day. Digital designs & websites to RSVP tracking.
