RFP’s history started In 1989, when Rudy Fourie, a local, self-taught musician started off on a one man journey with a vision to promote local talent in the Vaal Triangle. In 2001 his partner and now wife, Pamela, also an artist/singer, joined him with this vision and together they toured the country doing shows and performing at various venues. Starting off with the hosting of talent competitions
, they discovered a lot of local talent which they recorded at the RFP Music Studios and produced low cost CD Albums for most of them. Due to the lack of financial backing, most of these artists never progressed any further than the Vaal Triangle local music circuit. After helping various talented artists with the groundwork and their careers they were lost to the hands of bigger and major record labels as they progressed. RFP Music decided to go all the way and register as an independent Record Label as well as a Publishing company in 2010 and in 2011 upgraded the recording Studios with the latest technology and equipment on the market. RFP Music employed an internationally recognised composer, Jonathan Allan. With Jonathan running the studio division the productions and work progressed to the highest quality compatible with International music standards, and have since successfully completed various soundtracks for film and television as well as big productions in commercial music both South African and abroad.
