Dear Valued Customers and Community Members,

We hope this message finds you well.
We at Jump 4 Joy Waterfall appreciate the ongoing support from our cherished clients and community.

We would like to address a recent post made on the Waterfall KZN Facebook community group page to ensure transparency and to provide the full context.

On Sunday 26 November a customer experienced a payment issue during his visit to our Jump park. Our diligent staff promptly and politely informed the customer that a card transaction was unsuccessful and requested that he reattempt the transaction. Regrettably, a misunderstanding arose when the customer insisted the first transaction had been processed successfully.

Despite our manager's sincere apologies and efforts to resolve the matter, a refund could not be immediately processed due to the necessary verification procedures and the unavailability of our machine banking statement on a Sunday. This is a standard protocol adhered to by many franchises employing card machine facilities.

During the subsequent 48 hours, the customer published a post on Facebook wherein he made various claims that do not align with the facts of the situation.

We have taken this opportunity to clarify the details and share the following key points:

Communication Efforts: Jump 4 Joy Waterfall has made multiple attempts to communicate with the customer to address the matter and sending emails containing an explanation, proof of logged calls, and an audit report clearly indicating that only one transaction had occurred at 11:11:00 on our bank statements. The customer submitted what he claimed to be "proof" of the deducted transaction from his bank account to Jump 4 Joy. Upon careful review, our staff identified discrepancies and promptly advised that an investigation was necessary. In response, the customer made unwarranted and false accusations labelling Jump 4 Joy as thieves, asserting that his provided evidence validated his claims. However, our official statements and records present a different perspective.

Social Media Misrepresentation: Unfortunately the customer took to social media to express his grievances, portraying an inaccurate version of events. This included the unauthorized use and tampering of our registered company logo by inserting an image depicting a thieve/crook on it, a serious violation of the law and can lead to intellectual property infringement.

Allegations of Aggressive Behaviour: Contrary to the customerโ€™s claims, our staff maintained professionalism throughout the incident. In fact, it was the customer who resorted to name-calling and hostile behaviour, calling our staff, and we quote โ€œa bunch of idiotsโ€.

We wish to assure you that Jump 4 Joy Waterfall values each member of our community and strives to address concerns with the utmost care. We categorically deny any allegations of theft or wrongdoing on our part. Our commitment to transparency and customer satisfaction remains unwavering.

We recognize that misunderstandings may arise, and we acknowledge that, on occasion, Jump 4 Joy may be accountable, embracing the principle of "ubuntu" which is advocated on the public Facebook platform on which the customerโ€™s post was made. However, on this specific occasion, the customer chose to engage in conduct which damages our business name.
We remain open to continued dialogue and resolution to the community for clarification and setting the record straight. Our foremost commitment is to cultivate a positive and supportive environment for all parties involved and to be transparent regarding this situation.
